Ex-Guantanamo detainees to sue US معتقلى جوانتانامو السابقين لمقاضاة الولايات المتحدة
By Akhtar Amin | Two former Guantanamo Bay prisoners from Sudan, who were picked up from Peshawar, are demanding an apology and planning to sue the United States after spending five years behind bars at the US detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. أخطر من قبل امين | السابق اثنين من السجناء من خليج غوانتانامو والسودان ، وكانت من التقطت من بيشاور ، ويطالب بالاعتذار والتخطيط لمقاضاة الولايات المتحدة بعد ان قضى خمس سنوات وراء القضبان في الولايات المتحدة في مرفق الاحتجاز في خليج غوانتانامو ، كوبا.
“We were detained for five years in Guantanamo. "ونحن واحتجز لمدة خمس سنوات في غوانتانامو. So many innocent prisoners were discharged over the past two years without giving any explanation after keeping them for years behind bars. هذا العدد الكبير من السجناء الابرياء تم تصريفها على مدى العامين الماضيين من دون اعطاء اي تفسير لابقائها بعد سنة وراء القضبان. But, we will sue the US for an apology and compensation,” said the two Sudanese nationals, Salim Mahmud Adam and Adel Hasan Hamad. ولكن ، ونحن سوف تقاضى الحكومة الامريكية لتقديم الاعتذار والتعويض ، "ان اثنين من المواطنين السودانيين ، سالم محمود آدم وعادل حسن حمد. Both were picked up in Peshawar on suspicion of having links with Al Qaeda. سواء كانت التقطت في بيشاور للإشتباه في ان لهم علاقات مع تنظيم القاعده. They were released from Guantanamo Bay five years later. وقد افرج عنهم من خليج غوانتانامو في وقت لاحق من خمس سنوات.
“We are planning to sue the US with the help of human rights groups,” said Adam. "ونحن نخطط لمقاضاة الولايات المتحدة مع مساعدة من جماعات حقوق الانسان" ، قال آدم. The Sudanese teacher told Daily Times that on May 27, 2002, when he opened the door of his house in the early morning hours, officials of “Pakistani intelligence agencies” handcuffed him immediately. السوداني قال المدرس ان ديلي تايمز في 27 ايار / مايو 2002 ، عندما فتح باب منزله في ساعات الصباح الأولى ، ومسؤولين من "وكالات الاستخبارات الباكستانيه" يديه على الفور.

“My torture ordeal began early in Bagram and interrogations would sometimes last for three to four hours,” he said, adding that two months later, along with other Al Qaeda suspects, he was shifted to Guantanamo, “an inhuman place”. "بلدي التعذيب المحنه بدأت في وقت مبكر من باغرام عمليات الاستجواب وأحيانا الماضي لمدة ثلاث الى اربع ساعات ،" ، مضيفا انه وبعد شهرين ، الى جانب غيرها من القاعده المشتبه فيهم ، وقال انه انتقل الى غوانتانامو ، "لا انسانية".
He recalled the harsh interrogations, beating and screams of fellow detainees, and the loud music played at prayer times. وأشار الى الاستجوابات القاسيه ، والضرب والصراخ وزملائهم من المعتقلين ، وموسيقى صاخبه لعبته في اوقات الصلاة. Some interrogators, he said, would tell him they knew he was innocent, but this was a political game. بعض المستجوبين ، وقال : سوف اقول له انه كان يعرف أنهم أبرياء ، إلا ان الأمر لعبة سياسية. Like Adam, compatriot Adel Hasan Hamad, 50, will always remember the day he was arrested in Pakistan, on July 18, 2002. مثل آدم ، compatriot عادل حسن حمد ، 50 عاما ، وسوف نتذكر دائما اليوم الذي القي القبض عليه في باكستان ، في 18 تموز / يوليو ، 2002. Hamad said he was taken to a Pakistani prison, where he was held for over six days and questioned by intelligence officials. وقال حمد اقتيد الى احد السجون الباكستانيه ، حيث احتجز لمدة تزيد عن ستة ايام وشكك مسؤولو الاستخبارات.
Along with three others, handcuffed and blindfolded, he was boarded onto an American military plane headed for Bagram, a stopover for most people headed to Guantanamo. الى جانب ثلاثة آخرين ، مقيد اليدين ومعصوب العينين ، وكان على متن طائرة عسكرية امريكيه تتوجه الى باغرام ، ان يتوقفوا بالنسبة لمعظم الناس ثم اتجهت الى غوانتانامو. “There they started beating us,” he said. "هناك وبدأوا الضرب ظهرانينا". US soldiers and officials subjected him to constant interrogation, often coupled with beatings, verbal abuse and threats. الجنود الامريكيون واخضاع المسؤولين عنه الى استجواب مستمر ، وغالبا ما يقترن الضرب والشتائم والتهديدات. “They would not let us sleep,” he added. "انهم لن دعونا النوم". After two months of repeated interrogation and punishment, he was shipped to Guantanamo, he said. وبعد شهرين من الاستجواب المتكرر والمعاقبه عليها ، وقال انه تم شحنه الى غوانتانامو ، كما قال.
In Guantanamo, Hamad was again subjected to daily interrogation. في غوانتانامو ، حمد مرة اخرى تعرض للاستجواب يوميا. They said the US had declared all Guantanamo detainees “unlawful enemy combatants” to deny them legal rights under the American legal system. وقالت ان الولايات المتحدة قد اعلنت جميع معتقلى جوانتانامو "المقاتلين الاعداء غير مشروعة" لحرمانهم من الحقوق القانونية فى اطار النظام القانونى الامريكى. Only three of about 750 people sent to Guantanamo since 2002 have faced formal charges. ثلاثة فقط من حوالي 750 شخص ارسل الى غوانتانامو منذ عام 2002 واجه اتهامات رسمية.
Around 400 prisoners have been discharged over the past two years, but without any explanations offered for why they were detained, they said. نحو 400 سجينا قد اوفيت على مدى العامين الماضيين ، ولكن بدون اي التفسيرات لماذا كانوا محتجزين فيه ، وقالوا. Hamad was told that his daughter Fida passed away while he was languishing in Guantanamo. حمد وقيل ان ابنته حزب فدا ، توفي بينما كان يرزحون في غوانتانامو. Adam is back in Peshawar again and says he is trying to move his Pakistani wife and three children to Sudan. آدم هو العودة مرة أخرى في بيشاور ويقول انه يسعى للانتقال له الباكستاني وزوجته وثلاثة أطفال الى السودان.
