Notizie di AP | Un prigioniero de Guantanamo accusato in settembre. 11 attacco ha protestato mercoledì che la sue relegazione ed ostruzioni dagli Stati Uniti i militari stanno complicando il suo sforzo court-approved servire da suo proprio avvocato.

Al-Aziz Ali, uno dell'Ali Abd di cinque uomini si è caricato negli attacchi, ad esempio che i militari non hanno trasportato due lettere e un movimento di legge che scrivesse al giudice davanti all'udienza pretrial.

Il giudice, colonna marina Ralph Kohlmann, ad esempio che situazione dell'Ali sarà soltanto più difficile e provato persauderlo di accettare i suoi avvocati. Senza uno spazio di sicurezza, ha detto che Ali non avrà accesso a materiale classificato durante la prova di pena di morte.

Ali ha detto che una delle sue allegazioni disputate lettere che i difensori sono stati costretti nel rifiuto dei loro avvocati - il fuoco delle udienze di questa settimana - che dicono le allegazioni erano il risultato di uno scherzo male tradotto tramite mastermind confessato di attacchi', sceicco Mohammed di Khalid.

“Dovrei avere una destra scrivere direttamente una lettera al giudice,„ ha detto Ali, un nipote ed il tenente presunto a Mohammed che ha parlato in inglese.

Un portavoce di pentagono, comandante del blu marino. Jeffrey Gordon, ad esempio che i militari stanno esaminando le allegazioni dell'Ali. Ha rifiutato ulteriore commento.

I cinque co-difensori sono stati trasferiti a Guantanamo dalle prigioni segrete di CIA in 2006 e dall'esecuzione possibile della faccia se condannato sulle spese compreso l'omicidio e la cospirazione per il 2001 attacco che hanno ucciso quasi 3.000 genti.

Quattro di loro opinione si rappresenteranno, installando ulteriori sfide logistiche come tentano di montare una difesa mentre bloccato in una prigione di parte-segreto agli Stati Uniti a distanza Base del blu marino in Cuba sudorientale.

Sono tutti che compaiono esclusivamente questa settimana poichè Kohlmann esplora le allegazioni che Mohammed bullied gli altri nell'andare con la sua decisione rappresentarsi al arraignment del 5 giugno. Un avvocato di difesa ha detto che un interpretatore overheard altri difensori chiedere ad un detainee, “così, siete ora nell'esercito?„

Ma Mohammed detto Ali stava prendendo in giro soltanto un altro detainee, Al-Hawsawi di Mustafa Ahmad, circa l'abito che bianco ha portato all'interno dell'aula di tribunale.

“Sig. Mohammed era scherzare, criticante appena i vestiti che stava portando. He was saying, ‘Are you in the American Navy now,’” he said. “We need translators from our native language who understand our accent.”

Ali and al-Hawsawi, who are both accused of helping to finance the Sept. 11 hijackers, repeatedly denied taking direction from any co-defendants during their appearances Wednesday.

“In our religion, nobody is above us,” Ali said.

Both men also said they were skeptical their Pentagon-appointed lawyers would represent them effectively. Al-Hawsawi said he has not decided whether to accept their help, but Ali stood by his decision to represent himself.

Ali said he needs a computer as well as a better way to communicate with the Americans assigned to his case, whom he has retained as standby counsel. Currently, he said they do not receive his letters until they come to Guantanamo.

He acknowledged his lack of a legal education and a security clearance could put him at greater risk of conviction, but he does not want to validate proceedings he sees as illegitimate.

A spokesman for the commissions, Air Force Capt. Andre Kok, said the defendants will be allowed to see any classified evidence that is presented to the jury.

The U.S. has charged 20 of roughly 265 inmates held at Guantanamo on suspicion of terrorism or links to al-Qaida or the Taliban. So far none of the cases has gone to trial in the special military courts.
