‘Israel must be tried for war crimes’ 'اسرائيل يجب ان يحاكم لجرائم الحرب'
DAKAR: The head of the world’s biggest Muslim body, the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC), called yesterday for Israelis to be tried by an international war crimes court for “heinous” attacks against Palestinians. داكار : رئيس في العالم اكبر هيئة المسلمين ، ومنظمة المؤتمر الاسلامي) ، دعا امس للاسرائيليين ان يحاكم من قبل محكمة جرائم الحرب الدولية ل"البشعه" الهجمات ضد الفلسطينيين.
Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary-general of the 57-nation body - the second largest inter-governmental bloc after the UN - told an OIC summit in Senegal that Israel was repeatedly seeking to undermine foreign-brokered peace plans. Ekmeleddin احسان أوغلي ، الامين العام للهيئة 57 - أمة -- ثاني اكبر كتلة حكوميه دولية بعد الامم المتحدة -- صرح قمة منظمة المؤتمر الاسلامي في السنغال ان اسرائيل مرارا الاجنبية التي تسعى الى تقويض خطط السلام التي توسطت فيه.
“The situation in Palestine remains deplorable due to the successive crises fabricated by Israel to stall the peace process and to thwart the many peace plans and initiatives proposed by the international community,” he said. "الوضع في فلسطين تبعث على الاسى بسبب الازمات المتتاليه مفتعله من قبل اسرائيل الى المماطله في عملية السلام واحباط العديد من خطط السلام والمبادرات المقترحة من جانب المجتمع الدولي ،" وقال.
“It has become indispensable that these aggressions and heinous crimes be officially documented and their perpetrators be brought before international justice designed for these kind of acts … such as the International Criminal Court.” "اصبح لا غنى عنه ان هذه الاعتداءات والجرائم الشنيعه تكون موثقه رسميا ومرتكبيها امام العدالة الدولية مصممة لهذا النوع من الافعال… مثل المحكمه الجناءيه الدولية."

An Israeli spokesman dismissed Ihsanoglu’s remarks, saying the source of the problem was rocket fire from Gaza into southern Israeli towns. اسرائيلي رفض المتحدث باسم احسان أوغلي ملاحظات ، قائلين ان مصدر المشكلة هو اطلاق صواريخ من غزة الى المدن الاسرائيلية الجنوبيه.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told the summit that Israel’s “disproportionate and excessive use of force” had killed and injured many civilians including children and called for the violence to stop. الامين العام للامم المتحدة بان كى مون امام القمة ان اسرائيل "الاستخدام المفرط وغير المتناسب للقوة" قد قتلوا وجرحوا العديد من المدنيين بما في ذلك الاطفال ، ودعا الى وقف اعمال العنف.
“I condemn these actions and call on Israel to cease such acts. "انني ادين هذه الاعمال وندعو اسرائيل الى الكف عن مثل هذه الافعال. Israel must fully comply with international humanitarian law and exercise utmost restraint,” Ban told the summit. ويجب على اسرائيل ان تمتثل امتثالا تاما للقانون الانساني الدولي وممارسة اقصى درجات ضبط النفس ، "حظر اخبر القمة.

Islamic Jihad fired rockets into Israel from the Gaza Strip yesterday after an Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank. الجهاد الاسلامي باطلاق صواريخ الى داخل اسرائيل من قطاع غزة امس بعد الغاره الاسرائيلية في الضفة الغربية المحتلة.
No one was injured by the salvo against the border town of Sderot, the first such attack by Islamic Jihad, a Palestinian militant faction, since March 5. ولم يصب أحد بأذى من الصليه الحدود ضد مدينة سديروت ، اول اعتداء من هذا القبيل من قبل الجهاد الاسلامي ، الفصائل الفلسطينية المقاتله ، ومنذ 5 اذار / مارس.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas earlier accused Israel of “ethnic cleansing” in Jerusalem by banning the building of Palestinian homes and cutting the city off from the rest of the occupied West Bank. الرئيس الفلسطينى محمود عباس اتهم اسرائيل في وقت سابق من "التطهير العرقي" في القدس عن طريق حظر بناء المنازل الفلسطينية وقطع من المدينة عن باقي الضفة الغربية المحتلة.
“Our people in the city are facing an ethnic cleansing campaign through a set of Israeli decisions such as imposing heavy taxes, banning construction and closing Palestinian institutions in addition to separating the city from the West Bank by the racist separation wall,” Abbas told the OIC summit. "شعبنا في المدينة يواجهون حملة التطهير العرقي من خلال مجموعة من القرارات الاسرائيلية مثل فرض ضرائب باهظه ، وحظر البناء واغلاق المؤسسات الفلسطينية ، بالاضافة الى فصل المدينة عن الضفة الغربية عن طريق جدار الفصل العنصري ،" عباس أبلغ مؤتمر قمة منظمة المؤتمر الاسلامي.
A spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Mark Regev, condemned Abbas’s “inflammatory” comments. وصرح ناطق باسم رئيس الوزراء الاسرائيلي ايهود اولمرت ، مارك regev ، ادان عباس "التحريضيه" التعليقات. – AFP -- اف ب
