زيمبابوي : الجيش وراء موجة جديدة من انتهاكات حقوق الانسان

The Zimbabwean army is responsible for a new wave of rights violations throughout Zimbabwe, Human Rights Watch said today. جيش زمبابوي هي المسءوله عن موجة جديدة من انتهاكات حقوق جميع انحاء زيمبابوي ، قالت هيومن رايتس ووتش اليوم. Military forces are providing arms and trucks to so-called ‘war veterans’ who have been implicated in numerous acts of torture and other violence against opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) members and supporters.‘The army and its allies – ‘war-veterans’ and supporters of the ruling party ZANU-PF – are intensifying their brutal grip on wide swathes of rural Zimbabwe to ensure that a possible second round of presidential elections goes their way,’ said Georgette Gagnon, Africa director at Human Rights Watch. وتوفر القوات العسكرية والاسلحة والشاحنات الى ما يسمى ب 'الحرب المحاربين القدماء من كانوا متورطين في العديد من اعمال التعذيب وغيره من اشكال العنف ضد حركة التغيير الديمقراطى المعارضة (حركة التغيير الديمقراطى) اعضاء ومؤيدي' الجيش وحلفائها -- 'الحرب - المحاربين القدماء وأنصار الحزب الحاكم zanu - ع ع -- بتكثيف انشطتها في قبضة وحشية على مساحات واسعة من المناطق الريفيه زيمبابوي لضمان امكانيه ان الجولة الثانية من الانتخابات الرءاسيه وغني عن طريقهم ، 'قال georgette gagnon ، مدير افريقيا في منظمة مراقبة حقوق الانسان. ‘The African Union and UN Security Council should take immediate steps to help prevent a further escalation in violence.’ 'والاتحاد الافريقي ومجلس الامن التابع للامم المتحدة ان تتخذ خطوات فورية للمساعدة على منع مزيد من تصعيد في اعمال العنف.'

Human Rights Watch called on the African Union and the UN Security Council to intervene in the crisis to protect Zimbabweans at increasing risk of violence. مرصد حقوق الانسان ودعا الاتحاد الافريقي ومجلس الامن التابع للامم المتحدة الى التدخل في ازمة لحمايه زيمبابويين في زيادة خطر التعرض للعنف. They should publicly and privately press the government to stop the violence, take action against those responsible, and take steps to ensure that the police and army remain impartial and act to protect all Zimbabweans. وينبغي ان القطاعين العام والخاص ، الضغط على الحكومة لوقف العنف ، واتخاذ اجراءات ضد المسؤولين عنها ، واتخاذ خطوات لضمان ان قوات الشرطة والجيش تظل على الحياد والعمل على حمايه جميع زيمبابويين. They should also urge the government to permit international human rights monitors and the media unfettered access to the country. وينبغي ايضا حث الحكومة على السماح لمراقبي حقوق الانسان الدولية وسبل الوصول غير المقيد الى وسائل الاعلام في البلد.

In the aftermath of general elections that took place on March 29, 2008, Human Rights Watch has documented serious abuses in the worst-affected areas of Zimbabwe – the capital Harare, and the provinces of Mashonaland East, West, and Central, Manicaland, and Masvingo. في أعقاب الانتخابات العامة التي جرت في 29 آذار / مارس ، 2008 ، ومرصد حقوق الانسان وقد وثقت تجاوزات خطيرة فى المناطق الاشد تضررا من زمبابوي -- العاصمة هراري ، وmashonaland من المقاطعات الشرقية والغربية والوسطى ، مانياكلاند ، و Masvingo. Eyewitnesses told Human Rights Watch that ‘war veterans’ have set up camp at an army base called ‘Three Brigade,’ which is the official military barracks in Manicaland. وقال شهود عيان للمنظمة مراقبة حقوق الانسان ان 'الحرب المحاربين القدماء فقد اقامت معسكر للجيش في قاعدة تسمى' ثلاثة لواء ، والتي تعد الرسمية ثكنة عسكرية في منطقة مانياكلاند. Sources told Human Right Watch that the army had given the ‘war veterans’ guns and army trucks to carry out raids on the homes of known MDC supporters and members. وقالت مصادر في منظمة رصد حقوق الانسان ان الجيش قد اعطت حرب المحاربين القدماء والمدفع وشاحنات الجيش شن غارات على منازل معروفة انصار واعضاء حركة التغيير الديمقراطى. Military officers are also directly involved in these raids. الضباط العسكريين كما تشارك مباشرة في هذه الغارات.

On April 23, in Manicaland, a group of ‘war veterans’ and ZANU-PF supporters fired at a group of 22 MDC activists who had enquired about the whereabouts of 12 MDC supporters. 23 نيسان / ابريل علي ، في منطقة مانياكلاند ، وهي مجموعة من 'الحرب قدامى المحاربين وzanu - ع ع انصار اطلقوا النار على مجموعة من 22 من نشطاء حركة التغيير الديمقراطى قد استفسر عن مكان و12 من انصار حركة التغيير الديمقراطى. The current whereabouts of the 12 abducted MDC supporters are not known. اماكن تواجدهم الحالية من اصل 12 من المختطفين من انصار حركة التغيير الديمقراطى ليست معروفة. The activists who went to the camp told Human Rights Watch that they saw their colleagues at the camp with their hands tied behind their backs, lying on their stomachs. الناشطين من ذهب الى المخيم وقال مرصد حقوق الانسان انهم رأوا زملائهم في المعسكر وايديهم مقيده خلف ظهورهم ، وهو يرقد على المعده.
