Drink-driving awareness adverts invariably feature a before-and-after narrative, beginning with people shown having a merry old time at the pub, and ending with the aforementioned revellers entombed in a bloodied, twisted hunk of metal. - الوعي والشراب القيادة دائما ان تعرض اعلانات قبل وبعد سرد ، بدءا من الناس تبين وجود المرح الزمن القديم في ألحانه ، وتنتهي مع الدول المذكورة revellers مدفون في مخضبه بالدماء ، من الكتلة المعدنية الملتويه. Army recruitment adverts have always suggested that by signing up you can become a kind of ersatz, global social worker, learn some skills, or drive an exciting tank; they never mention that being in the Army may actually involve killing people or getting your head blown off. اعلانات تجنيد افراد الجيش واقترح ان يكون دائما عن طريق الاشتراك يمكنك ان تصبح نوعا من ersatz ، الاخصائي الاجتماعي العالمي ، وتعلم بعض المهارات ، او حملة مثيرة للدبابات ، وهي أبدا ان اذكر ان يجري في الجيش يمكن ان تنطوي في الواقع للوصول الى قتل الناس او رأسك في مهب بعيدا. And TV licence adverts have always relied on the trusty old message: ‘We Know Where You Live’. اعلانات التلفزيون والترخيص دائما يعتمد على مضمونه القديمة الرسالة : 'ونحن نعلم الآن أين أنت تعيش'.
The TV licence advert currently gracing our screens is the government’s most menacing and threatening to date. التلفزيون رخصة الاعلان في الوقت الحاضر هو تشريف لنا شاشات الحكومة الاكثر تهديد وتهديد حتى الآن. It depicts a city in the form of a computer’s innards, boasting that the government’s computers have access to all of our details, suggesting in the process that the state regards us not as citizens, but as numbers, pieces of data, cogs in the machine. وهو يصور مدينة في هيئة الكمبيوتر المصارين ، والتفاخر ان الحكومة الحواسيب والوصول الى جميع من التفاصيل ، مما يوحي في عملية تعتبر ان الدولة ليست لنا كمواطنين ، ولكن كارقام ، قطعة من البيانات ، التروس في الآلة. It is tempting to say that this is akin to Nazi Germany or Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four . ومن المغري ان اقول ان هذا هو أقرب الى المانيا النازية أو اورويل 'sاربع وثمانون تسعة عشر. It is true that these allusions are all too loosely and inappropriately bandied about. صحيح ان هذه كلها اشارات فضفاضة جدا وغير لائق عن تقاذف. One thinks of Basil Fawlty’s response to guests who were merely complaining about his incompetence: ‘this is exactly how Nazi Germany started’. يظن احد من باسل fawlty رد الضيوف من مجرد تشكو من عدم اهليته ل: 'وهذا هو بالضبط كيف بدأت المانيا النازية'. Yet in the case of the menacing license threats, one may argue that such comparisons with the past are merited. ولكن في حالة تهديد للرخصة التهديدات ، يمكن القول ان مثل هذه المقارنات مع الماضي هي تستحق. Out of all the forms of undesirable governance, one of the unique features of totalitarianism is its reliance on bureaucracy, technology, statistics and surveillance as means to dehumanise people. من كل اشكال الحكم غير مرغوب فيها ، وهي واحدة من السمات الفريده من الحكم الشمولي هو اعتمادها على البيروقراطيه ، والتكنولوجيا ، والاحصاءات والمراقبة وسيلة لdehumanise الناس. Certainly, the UK is beginning to resemble countries such as Singapore or China, where political and civil liberties are curtailed in exchange for economic liberalism. وبالتأكيد ، فإن المملكه المتحدة بدأت تشبه بلدان مثل سنغافورة او الصين ، حيث الحريات السياسية والمدنيه هي في تبادل لتقليص الليبراليه الاقتصادية.
On the other hand, one may interpret this latest advert as a sign of panic and of weakness (after all, who’s going to be afraid of notoriously cack government databases). ومن ناحية أخرى ، يمكن للمرء ان يفسر هذا الاعلان الأخير على انها علامة ضعف من الذعر و(على كل حال ، من الذي يحدث لكنهم يخشون من المعروف ان الحكومة cack وقواعد البيانات). The case for the abolition of the licence fee has never been stronger, and I suspect that the government knows it. الحال بالنسبة لالغاء رسم الرخصه لم تكن ابدا اقوى ، واعتقد ان الحكومة تعلم ذلك. The BBC really is its own enemy at times, and antagonises those who are otherwise sympathetic to the Reithian spirit. هيئة الاذاعة البريطانية هي حقيقة خاصة بها العدو في بعض الاحيان ، وتلك من antagonises بخلاف متعاطفه الى reithian الروح. The real question is: what should come after? السؤال الحقيقي هو : ما الذي ينبغي ان يأتي بعد؟ In essence, the quandary remains: should we be taxed to watch television? في الجوهر ، لا يزال من مأزق : هل ينبغي علينا أن تفرض ضرائب على مشاهدة التلفزيون؟
