President Obama - het is tijd om het onwettige spioneren op alle Amerikanen tegen te houden

Beste President Obama; Ik weet u een volledige plaat op dit ogenblik hebt maar er zijn iets de behoefte van I om aan u ongeveer te spreken. Herinnert iedereen op uw personeel de vroegere analist Veiligheid van het Agentschap van de Nationale (NSA), Russell Tice, die aanbood om u van illegaal onderdrukte informatie te voorzien betreffende het spioneren over alle Amerikanen, met inbegrip van journalisten? Voor het geval dat u het miste, M. Tice werd onlangs geïnterviewd door Keith Olbermann, en hij zong als een kanarie. Één groep Amerikanen die door het beleid van Bush voor toezicht wordt aangesproken was de pers. Dat schokte me, en dat is waarom ik deze open brief aan u schrijf. Ik weet u in transparantie gelooft. Wat NSA jarenlang heeft gedaan is voorbij twijfelachtig. Het is misdadig. Ik heb ramingen gezien dat NSA miljoenen transmissies, e-mail en telefoongesprekken van gemiddelde Amerikanen door te herstellen in de netwerken van behulpzame telecommunicatiebedrijven verzamelde. Volgens Tice, was hij bereid om u heel wat binneninformatie te geven laatste Februari, maar uw personeel daalde politely de aanbieding. Zij zeiden zij wie Tice was wisten, maar zijn hulp niet nodig hadden. Ik kom voor u bezig was verkozen het proberen te worden en dat is waarom hij niet van u over dit onderwerp heeft gehoord. Nu u de bevelhebber-in-Leider van het land bent, ben ik zeker deze situatie van het onwettige spioneren op Amerikanen van belang voor u is. Herinner in 2005 terug toen toen-voorzitter Bush de pers vertelde de enige Amerikanen op waren die spioneerden die met terroristen overzee spreken? Wij weten nu het dat een leugen was. Gemaakte Tice dat duidelijk terwijl het spreken met Olbermann. Veel andere bewijsmateriaalrust in databanken in spion landen, volgens Tice. Aangezien ik dit schrijf, verdenk ik dat de geheime dossiers op deze praktijk bij de intelligentieagentschappen worden verscheurd. FBI en de CIA hadden medeplichtigheid ook aan deze schandalige kwestie. Ik hoop u niet vergat Bush het Project van de Hooglander (Richtlijn 18 van de Intelligentie van de Signalen van Verenigde Staten) door NSA en de Brigade van de Militaire Intelligentie van het Leger van Verenigde Staten 513ste in 2005 machtigde. Er is bewijs dat de gesprekken van Amerikaanse burgers werden onderschept en in databanken waren ingegaan. The existence of this NSA domestic program was first reported by The New York Times on Dec. 16th, 2008, in an article that was spurred by a whistle-blower’s shocking revelations. The Times published the exclusive story on their website the night before, after learning that the Bush administration considered seeking a Pentagon-Papers-style court injunction to block publication. In a Dec. 2008 interview with Newsweek, former Justice Department employee Thomas Tamm revealed himself as that whistle-blower. The exact scope of this program is still not fully known. It is known that the NSA provided unsupervised access to all fiber-optic communications between some of the nation’s major communications, including phone conversations, email, web browsing, and corporate network traffic. I know this will not be easy to settle, especially because Congress passed a law in 2007 that legalized warrantless surveillance (The Protect America Act). I just don’t agree with the defense of this law by former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, who said the NSA ?has a reasonable basis to conclude that one party to the conversation is a member of al Qaeda, affiliated with al Qaeda, or a member of an organization affiliated with al Qaeda, or working in the support of al Qaeda.? That was painting with a broad brush and caused immediate concern among elected officials, civil right activists, legal scholars and the public at large about the legality and constitutionality of the program and the potential for abuse. I’m not the only person who thinks Bush’s claim that the NSA only spied on Americans making phone calls to people with known al Qaeda links, stinks. What the heck is a ?known link?? Would that be a journalist who has a contact inside al Qaeda? Now that Tice has re-opened Pandora’s Box about the Bush administration’s spying on journalists, I have two questions for you, President Obama. Are you aware of this illegal spying on American journalists, private citizens, and organizations? As It Stands, what are you going to do about it? ?
