200个Alzheimer的受害者将种入与高度有争议的射频证明芯片(RFID)，极大减少个人保密性和考虑到患者的思路，可能只被考虑，当强奸的形式，因为他们不是给充分地知会同意或拒绝芯片的。

在West Palm Beach，佛罗里达设置关心中心落后微集成电路，被制造和捐赠由VeriChip Corp。 The 34-kilohertz tag will be the implanted in the patients upper right arm and a 16-digit code will be able to provide access to a database via an RFID reader containing their medical history and existing conditions.

Despite warnings from privacy advocates and protesters who held an interfaith prayer vigil outside the centre, Mary Barnes of Alzheimer’s Community Care insists the implants are “a safety net”.

Privacy advocates would rather see a bracelet used instead of the implants, also if the chips malfunction it would lead to surgery.

“This is by definition a way of doing something that denies a person control,” says Lee Tien, of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, San Francisco. “If that doesn’t strike at the heart of human dignity, I don’t know what does.”
