Former UN chief links democracy, human rights الرئيس السابق للامم المتحدة وصلات والديمقراطيه وحقوق الانسان
UN chief Boutros Boutros Ghali stressed here Wednesday the significance of the close relationship between democracy and defence of human rights. للامم المتحدة بطرس بطرس غالي ورئيس وهنا يوم الاربعاء الماضي اكدت اهمية العلاقة الوثيقة بين الديمقراطيه والدفاع عن حقوق الانسان.
Ghali was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the 4th Seminar of Arab National Institutions on Human Rights, which kicked off here earlier Tuesday under the title “Human Rights and Development: Role of Arab National Institutions on Human Rights”. غالي كان يتحدث للصحفيين على هامش اعمال الحلقه الدراسيه الرابعة للمؤسسات الوطنية العربية لحقوق الانسان ، الذي ركل الى هنا فى وقت سابق من يوم الثلاثاء تحت عنوان "حقوق الانسان والتنمية : دور المؤسسات الوطنية العربية لحقوق الانسان".
He hailed such meetings as an opportunity to bolster and strengthen human rights in Arab countries, thus shoring up democracy in the entire Arab world. واشاد هذه الاجتماعات فرصة لدعم وتعزيز حقوق الانسان في البلدان العربية ، وبالتالي مسانده دعم الديموقراطية في العالم العربي كله.
He believed that most people had not yet realized the repercussions of globalization on international relations and, thence, democracy and human rights. وقال انه يعتقد ان معظم الناس لم تدرك بعد تداعيات العولمة على العلاقات الدولية و، من ثم ، والديمقراطيه وحقوق الانسان.
But, he predicted that such international problems as terrorism, diseases and environmental pollution would be resolved at the world level in the coming few years. ولكن ، وتنبأ بأن هذه المشاكل الدولية مثل الارهاب والامراض والتلوث البيئى سوف تحل على مستوى العالم في غضون سنوات قليلة قادمة.
The Arab region is currently witnessing a major activity in the field of human rights thanks to relevant achievements over the recent period, the former UN secretary-general said. المنطقة العربية تشهد حاليا نشاطا رئيسيا في مجال حقوق الانسان ذات الصلة وبفضل الانجازات التي حققها خلال الفترة الاخيرة ، السابق فى الامم المتحدة قال الامين العام.
The Arab endorsement of the Arab Charter of Human Rights in 2004 reflected the will of Arab countries to ensure and develop human rights in a context that could disseminate and fan the spirit of benevolence, opening-up and accepting others, Ghali added. العربي اقرار الميثاق العربي لحقوق الانسان في عام 2004 يعكس ارادة الدول العربية لضمان وتطوير حقوق الانسان في هذا السياق يمكن نشر وتأجيج روح الخير ، وانفتاح وقبول الآخر ، واكد غالي.
Concerning the Algiers human rights meeting, he stressed its importance to swift developments in the Arab region in economic, social, political and cultural fields. الجزائر بشأن حقوق الانسان الاجتماع ، وشدد على اهميتها لسرعة التطورات في المنطقة العربية في المجالات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والسياسية والثقافيه.
