One in four people being added to the DNA database is a child, it emerged yesterday. واحد من كل اربعة اشخاص يجري اضافتها الى قاعدة بيانات الحمض النووي هو طفل ، وظهر امس.

The figure provides further evidence that the Government’s “Big Brother” national database is increasingly targeting young people before they are old enough to vote. الرقم يقدم دليلا آخر على ان الحكومة "الاخ الاكبر" قاعدة معلومات وطنية متزايدة تستهدف الشباب قبل بلوغهم سن التصويت.

Data obtained by the Liberal Democrats from Parliamentary Questions shows that the proportion of children being added is rising, with 5,000 being included every month. البيانات التي يتم الحصول عليها عن طريق الليبرالي الديموقراطي البرلماني من الاسءله تبين ان نسبة الاطفال الذين يجرى اضاف آخذ في الارتفاع ، مع 5000 ويجري شملت كل شهر.

Liberal Democrat Justice spokesman Jenny Willott said: “There is something horribly Big Brotherish about a society that is adding over 5,000 kids a month to a DNA database when they’re not even old enough to get a National Insurance Number. الديمقراطى الليبرالى العدالة الناطق جيني willott قال : "هناك شيء كبير فظيعه brotherish عن المجتمع الذي هو اضافة ما يزيد على 5000 أطفال من شهر الى قاعدة بيانات الحمض النووي عندما سنا حتى القديمة بما فيه الكفايه للحصول على رقم التأمين الوطني.

“These shocking figures demonstrate just how many children are being dragged into the criminal justice system by the Government.” "هذه الارقام المذهله تبين كم عدد الاطفال يجري الانزلاق في نظام العدالة الجناءيه من قبل الحكومة."

A Home Office spokesman said people who were innocent had nothing to fear. أ : قال متحدث باسم وزارة الداخلية الناس الأبرياء الذين كانوا قد فلا خوف.

“Under 18s make up approximately a quarter of all arrests, thus a comparable proportion of young persons’ profiles on the [database] should not be unexpected,” it said.
