Tony Blair’s conversion to Catholicism has been criticised by commentators who argue his views as PM were at odds with church teachings. توني بلير التحويل الى الكاثوليكيه قد تعرضت للنقد من جانب المعلقين الذين يجادل آرائه الساعة كما كانت تتعارض مع تعاليم الكنيسة.

Mr Blair was welcomed into the Roman Catholic church by the Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor - leader of the Roman Catholics in England and Wales. وقد رحب السيد بلير الى الكنيسة الرومانيه الكاثوليكيه من قبل رئيس اساقفة وستمنستر ، cormac الكاردينال ميرفى اوكونور - -- الزعيم من الروم الكاثوليك فى انجلترا وويلز.
Cardinal Murphy-O’Connor welcomed the politician’s personal decision, which culminated in the ceremony at the chapel of the Archbishop’s House in Westminster. الكاردينال ميرفى اوكونور - رحبت بقرار سياسي الشخصيه ، والتي توجت في حفل اقيم في مصلى رئيس اساقفة منزل في ويستمنستر.
He said: “For a long time he has been a regular worshipper at Mass with his family and in recent months he has been following a programme of formation to prepare for his reception into full communion.” وقال : "لوقت طويل فقد كان العاديه المصليات في كتلة مع عائلته في الاشهر الاخيرة وقال انه تم في اعقاب تشكيل برنامج الإعداد لاستقباله في الاعتبار التام التشاركي."
The move comes after years of speculation that Mr Blair, whose wife Cherie and four children are Catholic, would convert from Anglicanism after he resigned from Number 10 in June. يأتى هذا التحرك بعد سنوات من المضاربه التي فيديوي ، cherie زوجته واربعة اطفال هم الكاثوليكيه ، من شأنه تحويل الانجليكيه بعد ان استقال من عدد 10 فى يونيو.
Converting while in office would have caused him problems in connection with issues such as abortion, contraception, homosexuality and faith schools. في حين ان تحويل المكتب سببت له مشاكل فيما يتعلق بقضايا مثل الاجهاض ، ومنع الحمل ، واللواط ومدارس الايمان.
The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) reacted with surprise to the news. جمعية حمايه الأطفال الذين لم يولدوا بعد (spuc) رد فعل بدهشه الى وكالات الانباء.
John Smeaton, SPUC’s national director, said: “During his premiership Tony Blair became one of the world’s most significant architects of the culture of death, promoting abortion, experimentation on unborn embryos, including cloned embryos, and euthanasia by neglect. جون smeaton ، spuc المدير الوطني ، وقال : "خلال فترة عمله في رئاسة الوزراء توني بلير أصبحت واحدة من أهم الدول في العالم من المهندسين المعماريين ثقافة الموت ، وتشجع على الاجهاض ، والذين لم يولدوا بعد اجراء التجارب على الاجنه ، بما في استنساخ الاجنه ، والقتل الرحيم بسبب الاهمال.

Tory MP Ann Widdecombe, who converted to Catholicism in 1993, told Sky News it was possible in her opinion to be a practising Catholic and prime minister. الشبكه العربية الاخباريه widdecombe النائب المحافظ ، الذي تحول الى الكاثوليكيه في 1993 ، ابلغ سكاي نيوز كان من الممكن في رأيها الى ان تكون ممارسة الكاثوليكيه ورئيس الوزراء.
She said: “I think the crucial thing to remember is at the point you are received (into the Catholic church) you have to say individually and out loud ‘I believe everything the church teaches to be revealed truth’. وقالت : "اعتقد ان الشيء الحاسم هو ان نتذكر في هذه النقطه انت تلقى (في الكنيسة الكاثوليكيه) لديك لأقول بصوت عال وفرديا' واعتقد ان كل شيء الكنيسة يعلم ان كشف الحقيقة '.
“And that means if you previously had any problems with church teaching, as Tony Blair obviously did over abortion, as he did again over Sunday trading…you would have to say you changed your mind. "وهذا يعني اذا كنت قد سبق اي مشاكل مع الكنيسة التدريس ، كما فعلت من الواضح أن توني بلير أكثر من الاجهاض ، كما كان يفعل مرة اخرى على مدى الاحد التجاري… قمتم إلى القول انك غيرت رأيك.
“And I think people will want to know that he did go through that process, because otherwise it will seem as if the church did make an exception for somebody just because of who he is.” "واعتقد ان ارادة الناس يريدون ان يعرفوا أنه لم يذهب من خلال تلك العملية ، لأن خلاف ذلك فإنه سيبدو كما لو ان الكنيسة لم تجعل استثناء لشخص ما لمجرد انه هو الذي".
