Social Networking via Facebook Fan Pages

by Claire Jarrett

One of the most interesting things on social networking is Facebook fan pages. Facebook is one of the most creative developments of this century. The fact that it is constantly updated is an added advantage. There are people always working behind the scenes to ensure that users have the best experience possible.

Currently, everyone is talking about this worldwide phenomenon of social networking. You can do several useful things once you have an account. Most people only know about updating their status, posting pictures and a few other things. These are not the only areas to enjoy in Facebook.

Not that there’s anything wrong with the basics, but there is much more to this application. Facebook fan pages offers an interesting way to take something a step further and do something that other applications are not good at. You can even link the pages to your blog. In addition, it is possible to enter HTML in some pages, and thus include even more information about the subject of your Facebook fan pages.

If you are not yet on Facebook you do not know what you are missing. Or, maybe you are planning on quitting Facebook. Before you do, take a step back and think of all the wonderful features you will miss. It is easy to create a fan page because you have friends that have similar interests. Don’t think it’s a “dumb” idea either. Give up on creating the page and guaranteed, someone else will develop it.

Facebook fan pages are not the only things you will miss if you quit. There are the usual things like chatting with your friends and keeping abreast of current events. Many things are posted on Facebook fan pages even before they are reported on news networks.

Many people are trying to come up with alternative sites. Some are reasonable, but others are downright pathetic. To compete with established companies they need to up their game. Facebook has managed to attract many people because of the hundreds of offerings they have, like Facebook fan pages.

A debate has been raging on whether Facebook groups are better than Facebook fan pages. There are many people on both sides of this debate. What people do not realize is that these two features have entirely different uses. If you want something global, you may have to opt for the fan pages.

There may be a need to create something big with unlimited people connected to it. This is mostly the case when an organization or a business wants a superb web presence. If you find yourself in this situation, you may have to opt for Facebook fan pages.
