By David Gutierrez | A Rhode Island school district has announced a pilot program to monitor student movements by means of radio frequency identification (RFID) chips implanted in their schoolbags. من دافيد غوتييريز | أ رود ايلاند مدرسة مقاطعة اعلن برنامج تجريبى لرصد التحركات الطالبيه عن طريق تحديد الترددات الراديويه (RFID) رقائق مزروع في schoolbags.
The Middletown School District, in partnership with MAP Information Technology Corp., has launched a pilot program to implant RFID chips into the schoolbags of 80 children at the Aquidneck School. مددلتاون فان المنطقة التعليميه ، في اطار شراكة مع شركة خريطه تكنولوجيا المعلومات ، وقد بدأ برنامج تجريبى لزرع رقائق RFID الى schoolbags من 80 طفلا في مدرسة aquidneck. Each chip would be programmed with a student identification number, and would be read by an external device installed in one of two school buses. كل رقاقة سيتم برمجتها مع الطالب ورقم الهوية ، ويمكن ان تقرأ من قبل تركيب جهاز خارجي واحد في اثنين من حافلات المدارس. The buses would also be fitted with global positioning system (GPS) devices. الحافلات كما حمل النظام العالمى لتحديد المواقع) من الاجهزه.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has criticized the plan as an invasion of children’s privacy and a potential risk to their safety. الاتحاد الامريكى للحريات المدنيه (اتحاد الحريات المدنيه الامريكى) انتقد خطة غزو الخصوصيه والاطفال يشكل خطرا محتملا على سلامتهم.
“There’s absolutely no need to be tagging children,” said Stephen Brown, executive director of the ACLU’s Rhode Island chapter. "ليس هناك على الاطلاق اي ان الحاجة الى تعليم الاطفال" ، قال ستيفن براون ، المدير التنفيذي للاتحاد الحريات المدنيه الامريكى للالفصل رود ايلاند. According to Brown, the school district should already know where its students are. ووفقا لبراون ، التعليم فى المقاطعات وينبغي ان نعلم بالفعل حيث والطلاب.
“[This program is] a solution in search of a problem,” Brown said. "[هذا البرنامج] البحث في ايجاد حل للمشكلة ،" قال براون.
The school district says that its current plan is no different than other programs already in place for التعليم فى المقاطعات ويقول ان الخطة الحالية لا تختلف عن برامج اخرى موجودة بالفعل لل parents الآباء to monitor their children’s school experience. لمراقبة اولادهم في المدارس تجربة.
