Boeing and وبوينغ Ford فورد have successfully tested a new hydrogen aircraft engine with a simulated flight that lasted nearly four days. وقد اختبرت بنجاح جديدة الهيدروجين مع محركات الطائرات محاكاه الطيران التي استمرت ما يقرب من اربعة ايام.
The project, called the High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) aircraft, is being run to test the feasibility of having unmanned craft in permanent flight to act as communications systems that can be quickly and cheaply set up where coverage by traditional means isn’t available. المشروع الذي اطلق عليه اسم ارتفاعات عالية التحمل الطويل (هيل) الطائرات ، التي تدار بها لاختبار جدوى بعد من دون طيار الحرفيه في رحلة الى قانون دائم كما نظم الاتصالات التي يمكن بسرعة وبتكلفة زهيده انشئت فيها التغطيه بالوسائل التقليديه غير متاح .
“This test could help convince potential customers that hydrogen-powered aircraft are viable in the near-term,” said Boeing Advanced Systems president George Muellner. "هذا الاختبار يمكن ان تساعد على إقناع الزبائن المحتملين ان طائرات تعمل بالطاقه الهيدروجينيه هي قابلة للاستمرار في المدى القريب ،" بوينغ النظم المتقدمه قال الرئيس جورج muellner.

The HALE’s engine is a modified four cylinder Ford engine that can use hydrogen as a fuel and run for extended period. فان هيل هو محرك معدلة أربع أسطوانات محرك فورد انه يمكن استخدام الهيدروجين كوقود والبعيد لفترة طويلة.
