Στόχοι ΗΠΑ των Η.Ε πέρα από την καθυστέρηση στα συριακά πυρηνικά στοιχεία

Το κεφάλι του πυρηνικού φύλακα Ηνωμένων Εθνών έχει αντιδράσει με τη μανία στην Ηνωμένη καθυστέρηση να δώσει τη νοημοσύνη, μετά από κατηγορούμενη η Ουάσιγκτον βόρεια Κορέα της βοήθειας της Συρίας για να χτιστεί κρυφά ένας πυρηνικός αντιδραστήρας.
Σύμφωνα με την κεντρική αντιπροσωπεία νοημοσύνης ο αντιδραστήρας, που μπορεί να ήταν μέρος ενός προγράμματος πυρηνικών όπλων, καταστράφηκε μέχρι μήνες μιας τους ισραηλινούς αεροπορικής επιδρομής πριν από την ολοκλήρωσή του.
Ο Mohamed ElBaradei, ο προ!ιστάμενος διεθνούς αντιπροσωπείας ατομικής ενέργειας, εξέδωσε μια stiffly διατυπωμένη δήλωση στην οποία επέκρινε τις ΗΠΑ και το Ισραήλ, καθώς επίσης και τη Συρία, οι οποίες πρέπει να έχουν ενημερώσει το IAEA εάν έχτιζε έναν πυρηνικό αντιδραστήρα.
Σημειώνοντας ότι το IAEA ενημερώθηκε μόνο από τη διοίκηση των Μπους για την αξίωση πυρηνικών αντιδραστήρων την Πέμπτη, επτά μήνες μετά από την ισραηλινή επιδρομή, θρήνησε το γεγονός ότι οι πληροφορίες δεν είχαν παρασχεθεί στην αντιπροσωπεία κατά τρόπο «έγκαιρο».
Ο κ. ElBaradei επίσης επισήμανε ότι, σύμφωνα με τις πληροφορίες που παρέχηκαν από τις ΗΠΑ, «ο αντιδραστήρας δεν ήταν ακόμα λειτουργικός και κανένα πυρηνικό υλικό δεν εήταν εισαγμένο σε τον». Σύμφωνα με έναν δυτικό διπλωμάτη στη Βιέννη, αυτή σήμανε ότι εάν οι επιθεωρητές των Η.Ε εήταν προειδοποιημένων νωρίτερα, θα ήταν σε θέση να ελέγξουν τα γεγονότα στο έδαφος. «Τώρα κανένας δεν πρόκειται πάντα να ξέρει στα σίγουρα,» ο διπλωμάτης εν λόγω. ElBaradei ειπώθηκε για να είναι από την αμερικανική αποτυχία να ενημερωθεί ο φύλακας των Η.Ε για τον πιθανό κίνδυνο πυρηνικού πολλαπλασιασμού πότε οι Αμερικανοί έγιναν ενήμεροι για τη φύση της περιοχής το 2006. «Τι είδους το καθεστώς μη διάδοσης είναι αυτό, όταν έρχονται στους μήνες IAEA αφότου έχει βομβαρδιστεί;» ο διπλωμάτης εν λόγω. Ο προ!ιστάμενος IAEA που δεσμεύεται για να ερευνήσει τις αμερικανικές πληροφορίες «με τη σοβαρότητα αυτό αξίζει».
Οι εικόνες που απελευθερώθηκαν στον Τύπο μετά από μια κεκλεισμένων των θυρών ενημέρωση στις αμερικανικές του Κογκρέσου επιτροπές δημιούργησαν τα νέα ερωτήματα δεδομένου ότι η ημερομηνία των υποτιθέμενων εικόνων αντιδραστήρων δεν ήταν σαφής.
Ο προϊστάμενος της συριακής πυρηνικής επιτροπής παρουσιάστηκε στεμένος δίπλα σε ένα αυτοκίνητο με ένα συριακό πιάτο αριθμού με το κεφάλι του αντιδραστήρα Yongbyon της βόρειας Κορέας, το οποίο έχει κάνει το πλουτώνιο βαθμού όπλων. But there was no indication of the date. American officials told reporters that their suspicions were raised because of the secrecy surrounding the project, in comments that had echoes of the Iraq weapons of mass destruction fiasco.
Israel, the only nuclear power in the Middle East, refused to comment on the matter. Syria continued to deny the charges as “ridiculous”, although the reactor images were described as “compelling” by the American nuclear expert David Albright. But he added that the lack of other facilities “has to give pause before accusing Syria of having an active weapons programme”.
Syria accused the Bush administration of having been “apparently party to the execution” of the air raid. An American official said Washington did not give Israel any “green light” to strike the area, although The New York Times reported that there had been extensive discussions between the US and Israel before the raid on 6 September last year.
“It’s sheer fabrication,” said the spokesman for the Syrian embassy in London, Jihad Makdissi, adding that the reactor images showed a deserted military building. “The CIA giving testimony is the same CIA that briefed Colin Powell who spoke at the UN Security Council about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.”
Asked about the photograph of the scientists, Mr Makdissi pointed out that “Syria and North Korea have economic relations. This person was not smuggled into Syria – did you see a nuclear rocket in his hands?”
The impact on North Korea’s nuclear disarmament commitments at six-party talks remained unclear last night. The chief US negotiator, Christopher Hill, said that the co-operation between Syria and North Korea was no longer active, suggesting that the Bush administration had already turned the page.

The U.S. may have not been directly involved but indirectly they were . Why ? . Well who do you think supplies ISRAEL with its weapons ? . The U.S. does as well as the U.K. , i think that its the height of hypocrisy that the west and israel can have nuclear facilities but god forbid that anyone else tries the same , that is unless they first get the blessing from the U.S. and its lapdog the U.K. Also i find the delay in giving over the information just a little suspicious , almost as if the U.S. had something to hide or is that just me being a little bit too paranoid ??? .
