Petraeus: US is flying Georgian troops into battle zone

The Times | ‘US aircraft have started to fly some of Georgia’s 2,000 troops in Iraq back home to join the fight in the breakaway province of South Ossetia, General David Petraeus, the top US commander in Iraq said toda

“The flights are ongoing to redeploy the elements of the Georgian contingent so that they can deal with the security issues in their country,” General Petraeus told The Times in an interview at his office inside Baghdad’s Green Zone.

He said measures were already in place to mitigate the impact on operations in Iraq of the sudden departure of the soldiers.

“We can accommodate that. Obviously it was not expected but it is something, the effects of which we can certainly mitigate.”

The Georgian contingent has been taking part in an operation with US and Iraqi forces to clear the south-eastern corner of Diyala province, north of Baghdad, a known al-Qaeda stronghold.

Some 150 Georgian soldiers also guard the Iraqi Parliament building as well as other key structures inside Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone.

In addition, one battalion is helping to support the Iraqi security forces in Wasit province, south of the capital, near the Iranian border.

what happens if a US military plane carry troops into a combat zone is shot down (accidentally!) by Russians? US troops did joint exercises in Georgia last month, are they still there?

God Bless America!! Just another example of U.S. interference in another country’s affairs. One of these days it is all going to come back & bite them. I suppose this will become part of the Obama/McCain platform? We screwed up/lied in Iraq so we might as well move on to Georgia.

Lets hope the American Planes ferrying back the Allied Soldiers accidently drop some 1 ton bombs on the Russian Tanks. We can only hope.

Behind the attack on South Osettia within Georgia are NEO CON Americans and hard line Zionist Israeli trainers. The US was running a joint opperational exercise only 2 weeks ago involving how to clear a town or village of people.

Who else would throw grenades down cellars to kill civilians hiding there? NAZIS - US & Isreali NAZIS!!!!!

They timed their attack to coincide with the start of the Olympics knowing the world press and media would get to South Ossetia in time to see only Russian tanks on the streets as a retaliation for the attempted Genocide of Russians living in South Ossetia.

Only the plan failed because news media was their during the aggression from Georgia using masked mercenaries in with its regulars to decimate urban centers hence deliberately forcing Russia to reinforce its piece keepers and expel the Georgian/ American & Israeli aggressors.

It must be stressed, these are Renegade Americans & Israelis, not regular forces, they are paid mercenaries who have committed Genocide and international war crimes.

Is Bush & Cheney behind this - Absolutely!

This regional conflict has been going on for hundreds of years, the new facet is BUSH/Chaney and Right wing elements within Israel are now using this to further their adgender.

Indeed Zibrinski (Barrack Obamas puppet master) is also deeply involved it the conflict region.

Thankfully the initial Georgian aggression was recorded so their plan to label Russia as the outright aggressor has failed this time. (But Russia has been heavy handed too)

We need to keep an eye out for other such situations which could be exploited by Bush & Co before they go.

The situation may even be being set up for the incoming President to keep the US war machine well oiled as they reduce activity in Afghanistan & Iraq, here is perhaps their new money spinner?
