Friday, August 24th, 2007 الجمعة ، أغسطس 24th ، 2007 In a bleak outlook of the political situation in Iraq, US intelligence officials warned that Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki’s Government will become “more precarious” in the coming months. في توقعات قاتمه للحالة السياسية في العراق ، وحذر مسؤولو الاستخبارات الاميركية ان رئيس الوزراء نوري المالكي حكومة وسوف تصبح "أكثر خطورة" في الاشهر المقبلة.
“The IC [intelligence community] assesses that the Iraqi Government will become more precarious over the next six to 12 months because of criticism by other members of the major Shia coalition” as well as Sunni and Kurdish parties, a new US intelligence estimate warned. "جيم [الاستخبارات] يقيم على ان الحكومة العراقية سوف تصبح أكثر خطورة على مدى الستة المقبلة الى 12 شهرا بسبب الانتقادات من جانب اعضاء آخرين في الائتلاف الشيعيه الرئيسية" ، فضلا عن الاحزاب الكرديه والسنيه ، جديد تقديرات الاستخبارات الاميركية حذر.
The key judgements of the assessment were released after being declassified by the Director for National Intelligence and come amid mounting frustration inside the US administration at the lack of political progress in Iraq. الاحكام الرئيسية للتقييم وافرج عن بعد التي ازيلت من قبل مدير الاستخبارات الوطنية وتأتي وسط تزايد الاحباط داخل الادارة الاميركية ازاء عدم احراز تقدم سياسي في العراق.
Mr Maliki’s attempts to bridge Iraq’s ethnic and sectarian divides have so far failed, with 17 of 40 ministers having resigned or decided to boycott the cabinet and unending daily bloodshed taking its toll on ordinary Iraqis. السيد المالكي ومحاولات جسر في العراق الانقسامات العرقيه والطاءفيه قد فشلت حتى الآن ، مع 17 من 40 وزراء وبعد ان استقال قرر مقاطعة او مجلس الوزراء لا تنتهي وسفك الدماء اليومي مع الاخذ خسائره على العراقيين العاديين.
Unless there is “a fundamental shift in factors driving Iraqi political and security developments,” the political compromises needed for “sustained security, long-term political progress, and economic development are unlikely to emerge,” the assessment said. ما لم يكن هناك "تحولا اساسيا في العوامل الدافعه العراقي التطورات السياسية والامنية ،" تقديم التنازلات السياسية اللازمة ل"الامن المستدام ، على المدى الطويل من التقدم السياسي ، والتنمية الاقتصادية ومن غير المحتمل ان تظهر ،" التقييم.

And President George W Bush, under mounting pressure at home to find a way out of the dragging war, this week expressed his frustration with the lack of progress, only to reaffirm his support for Mr Maliki the following day. والرئيس جورج دبليو بوش ، في إطار الضغوط المتصاعده في الداخل لايجاد مخرج للتدخل الحرب ، هذا الأسبوع ، معربا عن خيبة امله ازاء عدم احراز تقدم ، الا ان تؤكد من جديد تأييده للسيد المالكي في اليوم التالي.
“Prime Minister Maliki’sa good guy, good man, with a difficult job, and I support him,” Bush said in a speech as he set out his case for staying the course in Iraq. "رئيس الوزراء غي maliki'sa جيد ، رجل جيد ، مع عمل صعب ، وأنا اؤيد له :" وقال بوش في خطاب القاه لانه المنصوص عليها في قضيته اثناء فترة وجوده في العراق.
The intelligence assessment did conclude that there have been “measurable but uneven” improvements in Iraq’s security in the past months. تقييم الاستخبارات لم تختتم انه كانت هناك "لكنها غير منتظمة للقياس" تحسينات في امن العراق في الاشهر الماضية.
But it warned that insurgent violence will remain high and the government will struggle to achieve national political reconciliation. ولكنه حذر من أن العنف سوف المتمردين لا تزال كبيرة وعلى الحكومة النضال من اجل تحقيق مصالحة سياسية وطنية.
The Sunni resistance to the Al Qaeda in Iraq group had expanded but had not yet translated into broad support for the Government or willingness to work with Shiites, it said. المقاومة السنيه لتنظيم القاعده في العراق قد توسعت المجموعة ولكنه لم يترجم بعد الى تأييد واسع النطاق للحكومة او من استعداد للعمل مع الشيعه ، قالت.
And Shiite leaders fear the Sunnis will ultimately choose to side with the armed opponents of the Shiite-led Government, the assessment said. ويخشى قادة الشيعه والسنة في نهاية المطاف الى اختيار المسلحه الى جنب مع معارضيه من الشيعه التي تقودها الحكومة ، والتقييم.
“Bottom up” security initiatives among Sunnis focused on combating Al Qaeda offer the best prospect for improved security over the next year, but only if the Iraqi Government accepts and supports them, it concluded.
