You can buy John Conyers’ report in bookstores, but he refuses to hold impeachment hearings. يمكنك شراء جون Conyers 'التقرير في المكتبات ، ولكنه يرفض عقد جلسات استماع الاقاله. That could give him a landslide, and it’ll take a landslide for him to overcome election fraud. التي يمكن أن تقدم له ارضي ، وانها سوف تتخذ لارضى له للتغلب على تزوير الانتخابات.

Of course, we also have the possibility of prosecution in a foreign court or even an international court, and we should do what we can from this country to encourage those avenues. وبطبيعة الحال ، ولدينا ايضا امكانيه اقامة الدعوى في محكمة اجنبية او حتى محكمة دولية ، وينبغي ان نفعل كل ما في وسعنا من هذا البلد لتشجيع هذه السبل. The National Lawyers Guild is urging Congress to appoint a special prosecutor, independent of the Justice Department, to “investigate and prosecute high Bush officials and lawyers including John Yoo for their role in the torture of prisoners in US custody.” نقابه المحامين الوطنية وتحث الكونغرس على تعيين مدع خاص ، مستقل عن وزارة العدل ، الى "والتحقيق فيها ومقاضاة المسؤولين عالية بوش والمحامين بما جون يو لدورها فى تعذيب السجناء في حجز الولايات المتحدة."

The Guild’s new 14-page paper explains how lawyers, including Yoo, Jay Bybee, David Addington, and William Haynes, counseled the White House on how to get away with war crimes. النقابة الجديد في ورقة من 14 صفحة يشرح كيفية المحامين ، بما فى يو ، جاي bybee ، addington ديفيد ، ويليام هاينيس ، منصوح البيت الأبيض على كيفية الحصول على التخلص من جرائم الحرب. Guild President Marjorie Cohn recently testified in Congress that it was “reasonably foreseeable” the lawyers’ advice “would result in great physical and mental harm or death to many detainees”; more than 100 have died, many from torture. رئيس نقابه مارجوري كون شهد في الآونة الاخيرة في الكونغرس انه "يمكن توقعها منطقيا" المحامين الموعظه "من شأنه ان يؤدي الى السلامة البدنيه والعقليه كبيرة أذى أو الموت لكثير من المحتجزين" ؛ اكثر من 100 لقوا حتفهم ، وكثير من التعذيب. Cohn testified that Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Powell, Tenet, Ashcroft, and Bush are liable under the War Crimes Act and the Torture Statute. كون شهد بأن تشيني ، والارز ، ورامسفيلد وباول وتينيت ، اشكروفت ، ويتعرض بوش في اطار جرائم الحرب والتعذيب وقانون النظام الأساسي.

Congress could appoint a special prosecutor or begin impeachments or use inherent contempt (that is, the Capitol Police) to compel testimony. يمكن للمؤتمر ان يعين المدعي العام او الخاص او يبدأ impeachments باستخدام الازدراء الاصيل (أي شرطة العاصمة) لاجبار الشهاده. But it will only act if forced to by us. ولكنه لن يؤدي الا اذا اضطرت الى العمل من جانبنا.

My friend John Bonifaz filed a law suit against the President before the invasion of Iraq on behalf of congress members and military families claiming an invasion would be unconstitutional without a proper congressional declaration of war. صديقي جون bonifaz قدم القانون في رفع دعوى ضد الرئيس قبل غزو العراق نيابة عن أعضاء المؤتمر ويدعى العسكرية الاسر غزو سيكون غير دستوري سليم دون اعلان حرب من الكونغرس. Every peace and justice group in the country should be working with lawyers, choosing their favorite crime, and filing a suit, the point being to change the public conversation until we reach the point that a prosecutor will act. كل فريق العدالة والسلام في هذا البلد ينبغي ان يكون العمل مع المحامين ، واختيار الجريمة المفضلة لديهم ، ورفع الدعوى ، فان النقطه التي تجري لتغيير العامة المحادثة الى ان نصل الى درجة ان المدعي العام سوف تعمل.

Also last week in Milano, Italy, 25 CIA agents and an Air Force colonel went on trial in absentia for kidnapping a man on an Italian street and renditioning him to Egypt to be tortured. ايضا في الاسبوع الماضي في ميلانو ، ايطاليا ، 25 عملاء وكالة المخابرات المركزية والقوات الجوية والعقيد ومضت المحاكمه غيابيا لخطف رجل الشارع على الايطاليه وrenditioning له لمصر ان تكون للتعذيب. The victim’s wife testified for over six hours. زوجة الضحيه شاهد لأكثر من ست ساعات. A newspaper report read: بيان صحفى يصبح نصها كما يلي :

“Nabila at first rebuffed prosecutors’ requests to describe the torture her husband had recounted, saying she didn’t want to talk about it. "نبيلة والمدعين العامين في البداية رفض طلبات لوصف التعذيب وروى زوجها ، تقول انها لا تريد التحدث عنه. Advised by prosecutors that she had no choice, she tearfully proceeded: ‘He was tied up like he was being crucified. نصحت من قبل النيابة العامة انها لا خيار لها ، وقالت انها شرعت بشكل باكي : 'وكان وثاقهم وقال انه يجري مثل المصلوب. The judge said that the current and immediate past prime ministers of Italy will be required to testify during the trial. وقال القاضي ان الماضي القريب الحالية ورؤساء وزراء كل من ايطاليا ستكون هناك حاجة للادلاء بشهاداتهم اثناء المحاكمه.

A couple of weeks ago, an Iraqi sued US contractors for torture. قبل اسبوعين ، عراقي دعوى على الولايات المتحدة المقاولين للتعذيب. We should be alert to this possibility and be ready to push it. ونحن ينبغي ان يتنبه الى هذه الامكانيه ، وأن تكون مستعدة لدفعها.

We should also follow the example of Brattleboro and Marlboro, Vermont, towns that have passed resolutions requiring local law enforcement to arrest Bush or Cheney should they ever set foot there. وعلينا ايضا ان تحذو حذو Brattleboro ومارلبورو ، فيرمونت ، والمدن التي مرت القرارات التي تتطلب انفاذ القانون المحلية للقبض على بوش او تشيني من اي وقت مضى انها ينبغي ان مجموعة القدم هناك.
