By بواسطة Robert Fisk روبرت فيسك | So they are it again, the great and the good of American democracy, grovelling and fawning to the Israeli lobbyists of American Israel Public Affairs Committee (Aipac), repeatedly allying themselves to the cause of another country and one that is continuing to steal Arab land. | لتكون مرة أخرى ، كبيرة وجيدة من الديمقراطيه الامريكية ، والتودد إلى grovelling الاسرائيلية الامريكية التى مارستها مجموعات ضغط من اسرائيل للجنة الشؤون العامة "ايباك") ، التحالف نفسها مرارا وتكرارا من اجل قضية واحدة وبلد آخر وهذا هو استمرار لسرقة العربية ارض.
Will this ever end? وهل من شأن هذه الغاية من اي وقت مضى؟ Even Barack Obama – or “Mr Baracka” as an Irish friend of mine innocently and wonderfully described him – found time to tell his Jewish audience that Jerusalem is the one undivided capital of Israel, which is not the view of the rest of the world which continues to regard the annexation of Arab East Jerusalem as illegal. حتى باراك اوباما -- او "السيد baracka" بأنه صديق للالايرلنديه الالغام ببراءه ، وwonderfully وصفه -- وجدت الوقت لنقول له جمهور اليهود ان القدس هي واحدة غير مقسمة عاصمة لاسرائيل ، وهي ليست وجهة نظر بقية العالم الذي وتواصل الصدد ضم القدس الشرقية العربية غير قانوني. The security of Israel. أمن اسرائيل. Say it again a thousand times: the security of Israel – and threaten Iran, for good measure. أقول مرة أخرى الف مرة : أمن اسرائيل -- وتهدد ايران ، لحسن التدبير.
Yes, Israelis deserve security. نعم ، يستحق الامن الاسرائيليين. But so do Palestinians. ولكن ذلك لا الفلسطينيين. So do Iraqis and Lebanese and the people of the wider Muslim world. وكذلك الامر بالنسبة للعراقيين والشعب اللبناني وعلى نطاق اوسع من العالم الاسلامي. Now even Condoleezza Rice admits – and she was also talking to Aipac, of course – that there won’t be a Palestinian state by the end of the year. وحتى الآن باعتراف كوندوليزا رايس -- واعربت ايضا عن التحدث الى "ايباك" ، بطبيعة الحال -- انه لن يكون هناك دولة فلسطينية بحلول نهاية العام. That promise of George Bush – which no-one believed anyway – has gone. ان وعد جورج بوش -- التي لا احد يعتقد على اية حال -- قد ولى. In Rice’s pathetic words, “The goal itself will endure beyond the current US leadership.” رايس في كلمة للشفقة ، "هدف في حد ذاته يدوم وراء القيادة الأمريكية الحالية".
Of course it will. وبطبيعة الحال سوف. And the siege of Gaza will endure beyond the current US leadership. وحصار غزة يدوم وراء القيادة الامريكية الحالية. And the Israeli wall. والجدار الاسرائيلي. And the illegal Israeli settlement building. وبناء المستوطنات الاسرائيلية غير القانونية. And deaths in Iraq will endure beyond “the current US leadership” – though “leadership” is pushing the definition of the word a bit when the gutless Bush is involved – and deaths in Afghanistan and, I fear, deaths in Lebanon too. والوفيات في العراق يتجاوز يدوم "القيادة الامريكية الحالية" -- على الرغم من "القيادة" تدفع تعريف كلمة قليلا عندما يشارك gutless بوش -- وفاة في أفغانستان ، وأنا والخوف ، وفاة في لبنان ايضا.
It’s amazing how far self-delusion travels. ومن المدهش كيف الان يسافر الوهم الذاتي. The Bush boys and girls still think they’re supporting the “American-backed government” of Fouad Siniora in Lebanon. بوش لا يزال الفتيان والفتيات اعتقد انهم دعم "المدعومه من الحكومة الامريكية" من فؤاد السنيورة في لبنان. But Siniora can’t even form a caretaker government to implement a new set of rules which allows Hizbollah and other opposition groups to hold veto powers over cabinet decisions. ولكن السنيورة لا يستطيع حتى تشكيل الحكومة الانتقالية لتنفيذ مجموعة جديدة من القواعد التي تسمح حزب الله وجماعات معارضة اخرى لاجراء حق النقض اكثر من قرارات مجلس الوزراء.
Thus there will be no disarming of Hizbollah and thus – again, I fear this – there will be another Hizbollah-Israeli proxy war to take up the slack of America’s long-standing hatred of Iran. وهكذا لن يكون هناك نزع سلاح حزب الله وبالتالي -- مرة اخرى ، اخشي ان هذا -- سيكون هناك حزب الله آخر - الاسرائيلي حربا بالوكاله لتناول الركود الامريكية منذ زمن طويل من الكراهية ايران. No wonder President Bashar Assad of Syria is now threatening a triumphal trip to Lebanon. لا غرابة ان الرئيس بشار الاسد سوريا هي الان تهدد منتصر رحلة الى لبنان. He’s won. انه فاز. And wasn’t there supposed to be a UN tribunal to try those responsible for the murder of ex-prime minister Rafiq Hariri in 2005? وليس هناك من المفترض ان يكون للامم المتحدة للمحكمة لمحاكمة المسؤولين عن اغتيال رئيس الوزراء السابق رفيق الحريري في عام 2005؟ This must be the longest police enquiry in the history of the world. ويجب ان يكون هذا اطول الشرطة التحقيق فى تاريخ العالم. And I suspect it’s never going to achieve its goal (or at least not under the “current US leadership”). وأعتقد أنها أبدا لتحقيق هدفها المتمثل في (أو على الاقل ليس فى اطار "القيادة الامريكية الحالية").
There are gun battles in Beirut at night; there are dark-uniformed Lebanese interior ministry troops in equally dark armoured vehicles patrolling the night-time Corniche outside my home. وهناك البندقيه المعارك في بيروت في الليل ؛ الظلام - هناك يرتدون الزي العسكري القوات التابعة لوزاره الداخلية اللبنانيه على قدم المساواة في الظلام مركبات مدرعه بدوريه ليلية الوقت كورنيش خارج بيتي.
At least Lebanon has a new president, former army commander Michel Sleiman, an intelligent man who initially appeared on posters, eyes turned to his left, staring at Lebanon with a creditor’s concern. على الاقل لبنان رئيس جديد ، قائد الجيش السابق ميشال سليمان ، وهو رجل ذكي من البداية وظهرت ملصقات والعين واتجهوا الى يساره ، والتحديق في لبنان مع الدائن القلق. Now he has wisely ordered all these posters to be torn down in an attempt to get the sectarian groups to take down their own pictures of martyrs and warlords. وقال انه الآن بحكمة وامرت جميع هذه الملصقات الى ان هدمت في محاولة للحصول على الجماعات الطاءفيه لانزال الصور الخاصة بها من الشهداء وامراء الحرب. And America thinks things are going fine in Lebanon. واميركا ترى غرامة تسير الامور في لبنان.
And Bush and his cohorts go on saying that they will never speak to “terrorists”. وبوش ومجموعات بلدة الذهاب على القول بأنها لن يتحدث الى "ارهابيين". And what has happened meanwhile? وما حصل في هذه الاثناء؟ Why, their Israeli friends – Mr Baracka’s Israeli friends – are doing just that. لماذا الاسرائيلية الاصدقاء -- السيد baracka الاسرائيلي للاصدقاء -- تفعل ذلك بالضبط. They are talking to Hamas via Egypt and are negotiating with Syria via Turkey and have just finished negotiating with Hizbollah via Germany and have just handed back one of Hizbollah’s top spies in Israel in return for body parts of Israelis killed in the 2006 war. انهم يتحدثون عن طريق مصر من حركة حماس والتفاوض مع سوريا عن طريق تركيا وانهى للتو عن طريق التفاوض مع حزب الله والمانيا وسلم الى الوراء للتو واحدا من حزب الله في اعلى جواسيس اسرائيل في مقابل اشلاء الاسرائيليين الذين قتلوا في حرب 2006. And Bush isn’t going to talk to “terrorists”, eh? وبوش لن يتحدث الى "الارهابيين" ، ايه؟ I bet he didn’t bring that up with the equally hapless Ehud Olmert in Washington this week. اراهن انه لم يتطرق الى ان ما يصل منحوس على قدم المساواة مع ايهود اولمرت في واشنطن هذا الاسبوع.
And so our dementia continues. وحتى الخرف لا يزال لدينا. In front of us this week was Blair with his increasingly maniacal eyes, poncing on about faith and God and religion, and I couldn’t help reflecting on an excellent article by a colleague a few weeks ago who pointed out that God never seemed to give Blair advice. امامنا هذا الاسبوع مع بلير كان له عيون جنوني متزايدة ، على poncing عن الايمان والدين والله ، وانا لا يمكن ان يساعد على ممتازة تعكس المادة من قبل احد الزملاء قبل اسابيع قليلة من الاشارة الى ان الله ابدا ما يبدو الى اعطاء بلير المشوره. Like before April of 2003, couldn’t He have just said, er, Tony, this Iraq invasion might not be a good idea. مثل قبل نيسان / ابريل من عام 2003 ، وقال انه لا يمكن للتو ، آية ، توني ، هذا غزو العراق قد لا يكون فكرة جيدة.
Indeed, Blair’s relationship with God is itself very odd. والواقع ان بلير العلاقة مع الله هي في حد ذاتها غريبة جدا. And I rather suspect I know what happens. وبدلا من المتهم الاول وانا اعرف ما يحدث. I think Blair tells God what he absolutely and completely knows to be right – and God approves his words. واعتقد ان بلير ما يقول الله على الاطلاق وقال انه يعرف تماما ان الحق -- والله يوافق على كلماته. Because Blair, like a lot of devious politicians, plays God himself. لأن بلير ، شأنها في ذلك شأن الكثير من السياسيين الملتويه ، والمسرحيات الله نفسه. For there are two Gods out there. وهناك لاثنين من الهة هناك. The Blair God and the infinite being which blesses his every word, so obliging that He doesn’t even tell Him to go to Gaza. بلير الله ونعمته التي لا نهاية لها ويجري له كل كلمة ، وذلك بالزام انه لا يريد حتى ان اقول له للذهاب الى غزة.
I despair. انا الياس. The Tate has just sent me its magnificent book of orientalist paintings to coincide with its latest exhibition (The Lure of the East: British Orientalist Painting) and I am struck by the awesome beauty of this work. فان تيت للتو ارسل لي دورته راءعه لوحات المستشرقين من الكتاب ليتزامن مع معرض آخر (إغراء الشرق بريطانيه : لوحة المستشرقين) وانا الهاءله التي ضربت بها جمال هذا العمل. In the 19th century, our great painters wondered at the glories of the Orient. في القرن التاسع عشر ، واهتمامنا الكبير الرسامين سالت في امجاد المشرق.
No more painters today. لا أكثر الرسامين اليوم. Instead, we send our photographers and they return with pictures of car bombs and body parts and blood and destroyed homes and Palestinians pleading for food and fuel and hooded gunmen on the streets of Beirut, yes, and dead Israelis too. اننا ، بدلا من ارسال والمصورين وعودتهم مع صور وقنابل السيارات واجزاء الجسم والدماء وتدمير المنازل والفلسطينيين للمرافعه والغذاء والوقود ومسلحين مقنعين على شوارع بيروت ، نعم ، والقتلى الاسرائيليين ايضا. The orientalists looked at the majesty of this place and today we look at the wasteland which we have helped to create. المستشرقين جلالة نظرت في هذا المكان واليوم ونحن ننظر في القفار التي ساعدت على تهيئة.
But fear not. ولكن لا تخافوا. Israel’s security comes first and Mr Baracka wants Israel to keep all of Jerusalem – so much for the Palestinian state – and Condee says the “goal will endure beyond the current American leadership”. أمن اسرائيل يأتي في المقدمة والسيد baracka تريد اسرائيل ان تبقى كل من القدس -- الكثير لقيام الدولة الفلسطينية -- condee ويقول ان "الهدف يدوم وراء القيادة الأمريكية الحالية". And I have a bird that sits in the palm tree outside my home in Beirut and blasts away, going “cheep-cheep-cheep-cheep-cheep” for about an hour every morning – which is why my landlord used to throw stones at it. ولدى الطيور ان يجلس في شجرة نخيل خارج بيتي في بيروت والتفجيرات بعيدا ، والذهاب "الزقزقه - الزقزقه الزقزقه - - - الزقزقه الزقزقه" نحو ساعة كل صباح -- هذا هو السبب الذي يجعل بلادي المالك تستخدم لالقاء الحجارة على أنها .
But I have a dear friend who believes that once there was an orchestra of birds outside my home and that one day, almost all of them – the ones which sounded like violins and trumpets – got tired of the war and flew away (to Cyprus, if they were wise, but perhaps on to Ireland), leaving only the sparrows with their discordant flutes to remind me of the stagnant world of the Middle East and our cowardly, mendacious politicians. لكن لا بد لي صديقا حميما من يعتقد انه بمجرد ان كان هناك أوركسترا من الطيور خارج بيتي وانه في يوم من الايام ، كلها تقريبا من -- تلك التي تبدو مثل الكمانات والابواق -- حصلت تعبوا من الحرب وطارت بعيدا (الى قبرص ، اذا كان من الحكمة ، ولكن ربما على لايرلندا) ، يبقى في الساحة الا عصافير مع المزامير مخالف لي ان اذكر من ركود العالم من الشرق الاوسط ونحن الجبان ، والسياسيين الكاذبه. “Cheep-cheep-cheep,” they were saying again yesterday morning. "الزقزقه - الزقزقه - الزقزقه" كانا القول مرة اخرى صباح أمس. “Cheap-cheap-cheap.” And I rather think they are right. "باسعار زهيده رخيصة بأسعار زهيده.." وانا اعتقد بل انها على حق.

Fisk is still peddling the lie of ‘palestinian’ suffering at the hands of the ‘brutal’ Israelies. فيسك لا يزال التجول اكذوبه 'الفلسطيني من معاناة على ايدي' وحشية 'الاسرائيليين. If only the Jews would lay down their arms and die there would be peace! الا اذا كان لليهود من شأنه ان يلقوا اسلحتهم ويموت يكون هناك سلام!
He knows that the Jews are back in their historic homeland by deed of international law and biblical professy. مع انه يعرف ان اليهود هم العودة في وطنه التاريخي عن طريق صك للقانون الدولي وprofessy الكتاب المقدس.
He knows that this is not a war over land but of Islamic supremacy especialy over the dimi Jews. مع انه يعرف ان هذه ليست حربا على الارض ولكن للسيادة الاسلامية especialy على مدى dimi اليهود. The Arabs have been killing Jews well before there was a state of Israel, well before an ‘occupation’, well before there were ’settlers’ and well before there were ‘illegal outposts’! العرب قد قتل قبل فترة طويلة من اليهود وكأن هناك دولة اسرائيل ، اي قبل فترة طويلة 'الاحتلال' ، أي قبل فترة طويلة كانت هناك 'المستوطنين' وقبل فترة طويلة كانت هناك 'الاماميه غير القانونية'!
Fisk is part of the problem, peddling lies, for only telling the truth will bring an end to this Islamofascism that is sweeping the entire world. فيسك هو جزء من المشكلة ، يكمن التجول ، فقط لنقول الحق ويضع حدا لهذا islamofascism التي تجتاح العالم بأسره.
