According to a new report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the Bush Administration has failed to execute the law in a number of Presidential signing statements, amounting to 30%. ووفقا لتقرير جديد من قبل مكتب مساءلة الحكومة (غاو) ، فان ادارة بوش قد فشلت في تنفيذ القانون في عدد من البيانات الرءاسيه التوقيع ، والتي تبلغ 30 ٪.
The report found that President Bush issued 149 signing statements, 127 (85%) of which raised objection. وخلص التقرير الى أن الرئيس الاميركي جورج بوش التوقيع على البيانات الصادرة 149 ، 127 (85 ٪) والتي اثارت اعتراض.
Again we see the power hungry Bush Administration behaving like they are above the law. مرة اخرى نرى ان السلطة الجياع ادارة بوش يتصرف مثل انهم فوق القانون.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers said “The Administration is thumbing its nose at the law. منزل رئيس اللجنة القضاءيه جون Conyers وقال "ان الادارة هي تقليب الصفحات دورته الانف في القانون. This study calls for an extensive review of these practices, something the Administration has so far refused to do. هذا وطالبت الدراسه استعراضا موسعا لهذه الممارسات ، فان الادارة شيئا حتى الان رفض ان يفعل.
“The White House cannot pick and choose which laws it follows and which it ignores. "البيت الابيض لا يمكن ان نختار الذي يتبع القوانين والتى يتجاهل فيها. When a president signs a bill into law, the president signs the entire bill. عندما يوقع الرئيس مشروع القانون ليصبح قانونا ، رئيس بوادر مشروع القانون برمته. The Administration cannot be in the business of cherry picking the laws it likes and the laws it doesn’t. الادارة لا يمكن ان يكون في الأعمال التجارية من التقاط الكرز القوانين التي يحب وقوانين لا.
“GAO opinion underscores the fact that the Bush White House is constantly grabbing for more power, seeking to drive the people’s branch of government to the sidelines. "غاو الرأي يؤكد على حقيقة ان بوش البيت الابيض باستمرار من اجل المزيد من الاستيلاء على السلطة ، وتسعى الى دفع الناس الى فرع للحكومة هامش. Too often, the Bush Administration does what it wants, no matter the law. في كثير من الأحيان ، فإن ادارة بوش تفعل ما تريد ، وبغض النظر عن القانون.
