WikiLeaks publishes DNC emails showing scheme against Bernie Sanders

Whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks has published nearly 20,000 emails from members of the US Democratic National Committee (DNC), raising suspicions about its impartiality during the Democratic primary.

The email exchanges between seven top DNC members were released by WikiLeaks on Friday, pointing to an insider effort to undermine the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton’s rival, Bernie Sanders, including several stinging denunciations of him and his organization.

The development came only days before the formal nomination of Clinton – former First Lady, New York Senator and the Obama Administration’s first secretary of state — at the party’s convention in Philadelphia.
