US President Donald Trump has accused his predecessor Barack Obama of collusion and obstruction of justice in the alleged Russian hacking case, demanding “an apology” for being investigated over “nothing.”
The new Republican president launched a Twitter rant against Obama on Monday night, claiming he deliberately ignored the CIA’s early warnings of possible Russian meddling in the 2016 US presidential election to support Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
“The reason that President Obama did NOTHING about Russia after being notified by the CIA of meddling is that he expected Clinton would win,” Trump fumed in one tweet.
“And [he] did not want to ‘rock the boat.’ He didn’t “choke,” he colluded or obstructed, and it did the Dems and Crooked Hillary no good,” he added.
