President Donald Trump offered something of a small distinction in an interview today about his issues with the press.

Eric Bolling interviewed the president for the premiere of the new 5 pm show The Fox News Specialists, co-hosted by himself, Eboni K. Williams, and Katherine Timpf.

Bolling asked Trump about him taking shots at the “fake news.”

Trump said this in response:

“Not all of the media. I’ll tell you just––that is unfair the way they cover me because they say… I’m against the media. I’m not against the media; I’m against the fake media.”

He called out CNN for being so “negative” about him no matter what he does, but immediately went on to say, “I love the media. I think the media is great. If I do something bad, treat me badly. But they don’t tell it like it is.”

Even though Trump has taken shots at news outlets like The Washington Post, the president wrote an op-ed for the paper on his first 100 days this past weekend.
