Louder With Crowder

Norm Macdonald has been the news this week. Well, other than a massive hurricane slated to destroy the East Coast.
Sorry, guys. But Norm Macdonald is cultural and something we can address. Can’t do much for the hurricane. As much as I’d like to redirect the storm toward the sea. Norm Macdonald appeared on The View to clarify his recent comments:
So okay. What did we glean from this? Well, for one, Norm Macdonald walked back his Down syndrome comment. Even though I still stand by it was a JOKE and while you’re free to hate it, it’s still just a joke. We shouldn’t destroy a man’s career over a joke. As distasteful as it might be to the ears of the beholders.
Secondly, while I appreciate Joy Behar saying policial correctness is ruining comedy, she defeats the purpose of her statement by saying the Down syndrome joke shouldn’t have been said, or any comment reflective of the same sentiment. If we want political correctness to stop ruining comedy, then we need to stop applying political correctness to comedy. Up to and including being offended over words.
Lastly, the outrage mob will continue to be outraged and gather in mobs so long as they keep collecting scalps. Apologies, or half-apologies, is only going to fuel their hate.
