President Donald Trump’s announcement of the US recognizing Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital has exposed American disingenuousness and removed the facade of Washington being an honest broker in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to Myles Hoenig, an American political analyst and activist.
In a speech at the White House on Wednesday, Trump officially declared Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital, saying his administration would also begin a process of moving the American embassy in Tel Aviv to the holy city, which is expected to take years.
“President Trump’s announcement of the US recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, with an intended move of its embassy from Tel Aviv to there, erases a long standing disingenuousness.
