PressTV-‘US an oligarchy that preserves charade of democracy’

The United States preserves a charade of democracy by holding elections but a powerful group of oligarchs will remove elected officials if they do not work to advance their agenda, says a writer and journalist.

“This is the way the American system works: people are allowed to vote, allowed even to elect their representative… but as soon as their representative does something that the oligarchs don’t like, they remove him from power,” Dr. E. Michael Jones said in an interview with Press TV on Friday.

“In this way the United States preserves the charade of democracy and the reality of the oligarchic rule,” he added.
