PressTV-Trump’s drinking doctor to be investigated by DoD

The Pentagon’s inspector general is launching an investigation into the conduct of the former personal physician of US President Donald Trump, who at the same time was also being considered to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs.

“The DoD Office of Inspector General has initiated an investigation into allegations related to Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Ronny L. Jackson,” said a spokesman at the office.

The list of accusations includes casually dispensing prescription drugs, drinking on the job and that he created a hostile work environment.

Jackson withdrew his nomination in late April amid the allegations — which were detailed in a memo released by the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee ranking member Jon Tester – a Democrat from Montana — that were based on interviews with 20 current and former colleagues of Jackson.
