US President Donald Trump has used a campaign rally to mock the testimony of Christine Blasey Ford against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
In a testimony before the US Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday, Ford said that Kavanaugh had pinned her to a bed, tried to remove her clothes and put his hand over her mouth in the early 1980s.
Trump, who has continued to support Kavanaugh despite sex allegations made by Ford and three other women, ridiculed the psychology professor by imitating her voice at a rally in Southaven, Mississippi on Tuesday night.
“How did you get home? I don’t remember,” he said, alternating the inflections. “Where is the place? I don’t remember. How many years ago was it? I don’t know … But I only had one beer! That’s all I remember.”
And now, Trump said, “a man’s life is in tatters.”
