Ivanka Trump. the US president’s daughter and senior advisor, is not being considered to run the World Bank herself but is busy looking for a candidate, according to the White House.
White House Deputy Director of Communications Jessica Ditto denied rumors Monday that Ivanka’s name was going around as a possible replacement for the World Bank’s current president, Jim Yong Kim, who announced last week that he would step down next month.
“Reports that she is under consideration are false,” Ditto asserted.
Instead, the first daughter is helping “manage the US nomination process as she’s worked closely with the World Bank’s leadership for the past two years.”
Her cooperation followed requests by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnunchin and acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, added the deputy director of communications.
