Tony Blair has launched a scathing attack on the UK media describing it as “a feral beast, just tearing people and reputations to bits”. توني بلير اطلق انتقاد بشدة الهجوم على وسائل الاعلام في المملكه المتحدة واصفا اياها بانها "الابده وحشا ، عادل تمزيق الشعب وسمعة لمعاهدات الاستثمار الثنائية".

He said fierce competition for stories meant that the modern media now hunted “in a pack”. وقال ان المنافسة الشرسه للقصص يعني ان وسائل الاعلام الحديثة التي تصاد الان "في علبة".
“In these modes it is like a feral beast, just tearing people and reputations to bits,” he said. "في هذه الأنماط هو مثل الوحش الابده ، عادل تمزيق الشعب وسمعة لمعاهدات الاستثمار الثنائية ،" قال.
“But no-one dares miss out.” "ولكن لا احد يجرؤ تخسر".
The Prime Minister made the comments during a speech about public life to the Reuters news agency. رئيس الوزراء ادلى بتعليقات خلال كلمة القاها عن الحياة العامة الى وكالة رويترز للانباء.
He acknowledged that New Labour had spent too much time in its early years trying to influence media coverage but said the Government’s approach had been necessary due to the “ferocious hostility” towards Labour. واعترف بان العمل الجديد قد امضى وقتا طويلا في سنواته الاولى في محاولة للتأثير على التغطيه الاعلاميه لكنه قال النهج الذي تتبعه الحكومة كانت ضروريه بسبب "العداوه الشرسه" من اجل العمل.
However, he accepted that the “inordinate attention” paid to courting and persuading the media had fuelled cynicism. ومع ذلك ، قال انه يوافق على ان "الاهتمام المفرط" تدفع الى المراوده واقناع وسائل الاعلام قد غذت السخريه.
Mr Blair said the relationship between politicians and the press had always been fraught, but said that it had intensified in recent years. السيد بلير قال ان العلاقة بين السياسيين والصحافة كانت دائما محفوفه ، ولكن قال انه قد اشتدت في السنوات الاخيرة.
While insisting that he was not complaining about the coverage he gets as Premier, Mr Blair claimed there was less balance in journalism now than 10 years ago. بينما يصر انه لم يكن يشكو من التغطيه كما انه يحصل رئيس الوزراء ، وادعى السيد بلير كان هناك توازن في الصحافة أقل الآن مما كان عليه قبل 10 سنوات.

The Prime Minister said there was no point blaming the media, arguing that the decline was largely due to the new 24-hour news agenda and the fragmentation of the market. وقال رئيس الوزراء لم يكن هناك نقطة القاء اللوم على وسائل الاعلام ، معتبرا ان هذا الانخفاض يرجع الى حد كبير الى الجديد 24 ساعة اخبار جدول الاعمال وتجزئة السوق.
But he said that “impact” was now often more important than balance in a way that was harming the public’s view of public life. لكنه قال ان "الاثر" هو الان في كثير من الاحيان اكثر اهمية من التوازن في طريقه ان يضر الجمهور بالنظر الى الحياة العامة.
Mr Blair said that the evolution of non-traditional media outlets was making matters worse, rather than better, as he had originally thought. السيد بلير ان تطور غير التقليديه وسائل الاعلام هو ان يزيد الامور سوءا ، وليس افضل ، كما كان يعتقد اصلا.
“It used to be thought - and I include myself in this - that help was on the horizon. "انه جرت العادة على ان الفكر -- وتشمل أنا نفسي في هذا -- ان كان يساعد على الافق.
“New forms of communication would provide new outlets to by-pass the increasingly shrill tenor of the traditional media. "اشكال جديدة من الاتصالات من شأنه توفير منافذ جديدة - الى جانب تمرير شديد فحوي متزايد من وسائل الاعلام التقليديه.
“In fact, the new forms can be even more pernicious, less balanced, more intent on the latest conspiracy theory multiplied by five.” "وفي الواقع ، فان اشكالا جديدة يمكن ان تكون أكثر ضررا ، وأقل توازنا واكثر النية على احدث نظرية المءامره مضروبه في خمسة."
