By بواسطة Dave Lindorff ديف lindorff | We Americans got a graphic illustration of the demise of any independent American corporate news media these past few days as the coverage on TV and in print was saturated with reports about John Edwards’ infidelity and, equally important, Russia’s invasion of Georgia. | نحن الاميركيين حصلوا على رسم صورة وفاة اي من الشركات الامريكية المستقلة وسائل الاعلام هذه الأيام القليلة الماضية التغطيه على شاشات التليفزيون وكان في طباعة التقارير عن مشبعه مع جون ادواردز 'الخيانه وبنفس القدر من الاهميه ، وغزو روسيا فى جورجيا.
In the first case, we had the completely pointless if prurient airing of Edwards’ sordid extra-marital affair. وفي الحاله الاولى ، كانت لدينا تماما اذا كان من العبث أن prurient بث ادواردز 'الدنيءه خارج اطار الزواج الشأن. Pointless because Edwards at this time is a has-been politician. من العبث لأن ادواردز في هذا الوقت هو - وقد تم سياسي. We read that President Bush condemned the Russian invasion of another nation and called for an immediate ceasefire. قرأنا ان الرئيس الاميركي جورج بوش ادان الغزو الروسي من أمة اخرى ، ودعا الى وقف فوري لاطلاق النار. Yet there was not one word of astonishment or challenge from reporters or commentators or editorial writers at this stunningly cynical statement coming from a leader who himself is responsible for the blatantly illegal and much more destructive invasion of another nation. ومع ذلك لم تكن هناك كلمة واحدة من الدهشه او تحد من المعلقين او صحافيين او كتاب الافتتاحيات في هذا البيان بشكل مذهل الساخر قادمة من الزعيم نفسه من هو المسؤول عن غير القانونية بشكل صارخ واكثر تدميرا من غزو امة اخرى. Indeed one reason we are shown all the carnage is that the US government has been backing Georgia, and there is evidence that the US even encouraged the Georgian attacks on ethnic Russians which provoked the invasion. والواقع ان احد الاسباب اننا اظهرت جميع المجزرة هو ان الولايات المتحدة ظلت الحكومة دعم جورجيا ، وهناك ادلة على ان الولايات المتحدة بل وشجعت على الهجمات الجورجيه من اصل روسي الذي تسبب الغزو. The US also has obligingly airlifted Georgian troops back from Iraq to Georgia. كما ان الولايات المتحدة جوا obligingly القوات الجورجيه العودة من العراق الى جورجيا.
This is not news. وهذه ليست انباء. This is propaganda, pure and simple. وهذا هو الدعايه ، نقيه وبسيطة.
American corporate news media broadcasts and articles should include a disclaimer: “This report was approved by the media managers of the Bush/Cheney administration.” الشركات الامريكية وسائل الاعلام الاذاعيه والمقالات وينبغي ان يتضمن اخلاء مسؤولية : "تمت الموافقة على هذا التقرير من قبل وسائل الاعلام من مديري بوش / تشيني الادارة".
