When submerged under a veritable deluge of ideologically-driven ‘reforms’, it takes something especially imbecilic to provoke a double-take. عندما المغموره تحت طوفان حقيقي للايديولوجيا مدفوعه 'الاصلاحات' ، يأخذ شيئا لا سيما imbecilic استفزاز مزدوج اتخاذ. Fine, in one way, except that ‘anonymous evidence’ does not allow the defence to cross-examine witnessess or indeed raise questions as to any previous relationship the accused might have had with the accuser that might have lead them to offer evidence (not to mention the possibility of witnesses being coerced as a result of a police vendetta) against the accused in the first place. غرامة ، في طريق واحد ، الا ان 'مجهولين دليل' لا يسمح للدفاع استجواب witnessess او في الواقع الى طرح اسءله على النحو السابق أي علاقة المتهم قد يكون مع المتهم ان يكون قد تدفعها الى تقديم الادله) لا ذكر امكانيه الشهود ونتيجة لإكراه من الشرطة الثأر) ضد المتهم في المقام الأول.

Online maps with crimes plotted on them to be published every month so people can see how dangerous their area is and how well the police are doing. خرائط الانترنت مع الجرائم تآمروا عليها ان تنشر كل شهر حتى يمكن ان ترى الناس مدى خطورة على المنطقة ومدى النجاح الذي تقوم به الشرطة. Gordon Brown has backed the move in principle, but areas could be stigmatised if the maps are street-by-street. غوردون براون قد دعمت في التحرك من حيث المبدأ ، ولكنها يمكن ان تكون مجالات stigmatised اذا كان الشارع الخرائط عن طريق الشارع.

Youth clubs for the the 50 most deprived areas? نوادي الشباب ال 50 لأكثر المناطق حرمانا؟ There are a number of delirious aspects involved in the proposition. وهناك عدد من الجوانب التي تنطوي عليها هاذي الاقتراح. Ever notice how New Labour ministers and the media are happy to talk blithely about ‘deprived communities’ without any mention to how they came to be ‘deprived’ in the first place? من اي وقت مضى لاحظ كيف العمل الجديد وزراء وسائل الاعلام سعداء للحديث عن بابتهاج 'حرمان المجتمعات من دون اية اشارة الى الكيفيه التي جاءت لتكون' المحرومين 'في المقام الأول؟ In the absence of any such analysis it takes a remarkable level of political remove to imagine that thirty years of the deliberate stripping out of the grassroots infrastructure in working class neighbourhoods can be remedied by organising ‘a youth club on Friday nights’. وفى حالة عدم وجود أي تحليل من هذا القبيل فانه يأخذ في مستوى مرموق من ازالة السياسية ان نتصور ان ثلاثين سنة من تجريد المتعمد للخروج من القاعده البنية التحتية في احياء الطبقة العاملة لا يمكن علاجه من خلال تنظيم 'ا نادي الشباب يوم الجمعة ليلة وليلة'. What about the other nights? وماذا عن ليلة وليلة أخرى؟ Or ‘deprived area’ number 51? او 'المحرومين' عدد 51؟ Or indeed 151? والواقع او 151؟
The media who should be asking the serious questions don’t do so. The Independent’s response, for example, was almost unbelievable. من وسائل الاعلام وينبغي ان تطلب من اسءله خطيرة لا تفعل ذلك. المستقلة رد ، على سبيل المثال ، يكاد لا يصدق. ‘Funding for youth services is already being boosted with poorer communities targeted. 'خدمات التمويل للشباب ويجرى حاليا بالفعل زاد مع المجتمعات الفقيره المستهدفة. But should high-crime areas be rewarded?’ it asks. ولكن ينبغي ان المناطق التي ترتفع فيها معدلات الجريمة أجر؟ 'انه يطلب. But more than that, as even government statistics demonstrate, it is self-evidently working class people in the high crime areas that are most likely to be the victims of crime. ولكن اكثر من ذلك ، حتى تظهر الاحصاءات الحكوميه ، ومن البديهي الطبقة العاملة الناس في ارتفاع الجريمة المجالات التي من الارجح ان تكون ضحايا الجريمة. Why punish the community further? لماذا معاقبة المجتمع كذلك؟ But as far as The Independent is concerned—Why not? ولكن بقدر ما هو المستقلة المعنية - ولم لا؟
Former Tory leader Ian Duncan-Smith blathers on about ‘a broken society’ in a similar way. الزعيم المحافظ السابق ايان دنكان سميث - الثرثارون على نحو 'بكسر في المجتمع' فى بطريقة مماثلة. But rival parties never ever challenge him on who broke it. ولكن الاطراف لا منافس له على التحدي من اي وقت مضى من كسر. That is because the beginnings of a solution are staring them all in the face. ذلك أن بدايات الحل هي لهم جميعا التحديق في وجهه. But why bother going to the root of the problem (the callous and systematic destruction of a youth club infrastructure and the selling-off of school playing fields, and so on) when under existing neo-liberal orthodoxy the unthinking dribblings in the Casey formula work just as well? ولكن لماذا تهتم الذهاب الى جذور المشكلة (قاس والتدمير المنهجي للشباب نادي البيع والبنية التحتية - من الملاعب المدرسية ، وما الى ذلك) عندما القائمة في اطار عقيده الليبراليه الجديدة الغفل dribblings في كأسي صيغة العمل عادل أيضا؟
