مارتن [بلّ] سابقة تلفزيون [ور كرّسبوندنت] وسياسية. هنا يتكلّم هو في لانكستر جامعة في [18ث] أكتوبر - تشرين الأوّل 2007.
هو ترك ال [بّك] في أبريل - نيسان 1997 إلى حامل قفص كعضو مستقلّ ضدّ ال يجلس [مب] ل [تتّون], ال [توري] [نيل] هاملتون. هو ربح مع 11,000 إقتراع أغلبية, أن يصبح الأولى ينتخب [مب] مستقلّة منذ 1951.
هو كان عيّنت [أونيسف] سفيرة ل [إمرجنسس] إنسانيّة في 2001. His assignments for Unicef have included Burundi, Kosovo, Tajikistan, Iraq, Malawi, Bosnia, Sudan and Sri Lanka.
