Come Bush ha minacciato la Gran-Bretagna

L'Atlantico - - Per impedire tutti i particolari della relativa annotazione di tortura che è diffusa pubblicamente, la gestione di Bush ha minacciato il governo britannico per ritiro di intelligenza che si ripartisce se permettessero che una corte pubblicasse la prova redatta. Il ministro degli esteri David Miliband ha negato questo il mercoledì, ma le lettere dagli Stati Uniti sono state liberate dalle notizie della Channel 4. Ed il loro messaggio è inequivocabile. prima lettera:

Quella è una minaccia per danneggiare la sicurezza di un alleato molto vicino a meno che il governo britannico intervenga in un processo della corte per sopprimere la prova di tortura degli Stati Uniti. In una prova critica della gestione di Obama, la richiesta che tale prova è soppressa è stata ripetuta. (Non so da chi. Panetta non è sul posto ancora. Brennan? Clinton?) E quello è come la tortura illegale si sparge durante un sistema legale e militare per insidiare le alleanze così come la norma di legge. Il veleno di Cheney è ancora nel sistema. E sarà a lungo. Quello era il punto: i crimini ed i blunders che hanno commesso erano tali che i loro successori si trovano, willy nilly, implicato in loro.
