Tasers usado controlar mentalmente o mal

Os relatórios de Tasers que está sendo usado controlar as situações temporárias que envolvem povos doentes do mentality estão na ascensão. Esta ascensão no uso de Taser no mentalmente doente por polícias é causa para algum interesse. Em Houston, Texas sozinho, o papel local o Chronicle de Houston do `' diz que desde o fim de 2004 houve 120 incidents sabidos das polícias que usam Tasers controlar um suspeito mentalmente doente dos 1000 incidents que o papel investigou. Foi descoberto também sobre os incidents de Houston Taser que as polícias tiveram algum conhecimento prévio sobre as situações. Significando foram feitos cientes que incorporavam uma situação temporária que envolve uma pessoa mentalmente doente. Este aviso prévio deve ter provocado as polícias para trazer nos specialists que têm o treinamento em como tratar deste tipo de situação, porém esta aconteceu muito seldomly. Quando fazer exame de um olhar do fechamento nos povos que eram tasered pelas polícias o Chronicle de Houston do `' encontrado que quase todos os povos eram arma mais menos. Encontrou-se também que a maioria do tasered povos não era culpada de cometer um crime. Havia naturalmente uns pares das exceções e um criminoso apprehended. Quando o Chronicle de Houston do `' falou às polícias chefe, Harold Hurtt, defendeu que olhares a ser uso heavy-handed de Tasers. Disse, “quando você olha os exemplos onde os povos estiveram armados, lá poderia ter sido um encontro mais mortal se Tasers não estivesse no lugar.” De muitos povos tasered pelas polícias de Houston lá era um homem que fosse mentalmente doente, envelhecido 63 e não pudesse começar ao redor sem o uso de seu walker. The husband of Vickory said, “She may have gotten excited, but two male officer should be able to defuse a situation with on woman without pulling out a Taser. In this case, it’s clear they did not try.” Houston isn’t the only US city with reports of police using Tasers unnecessarily; reports are also coming from Minneapolis. In Minneapolis a woman who was apparently homeless, in her early thirties, African-American and to a witness mentally ill was the target of police Tasers in May. When writing her story about what she saw the witness, Lydia Howell described the homeless woman’s obvious mental illness.
