The threat of cameras combined with artificial intelligence تهديد كاميرات مقترنه الذكاء الاصطناعي

Privacy activists have been lamenting increasing surveillance by cameras and warn of abuse by authorities who have access to them. الخصوصيه نشطاء وقد الرثاء زيادة كاميرات المراقبة التي تقوم بها والتحذير من سوء المعامله من قبل السلطات المنظمه ممن يمكنهم الوصول اليهم. The first trend: Cameras are increasingly monitoring noncriminals engaged in technically legal behavior. الاتجاه الاول : كاميرات مراقبة متزايدة noncriminals تقنيا تشارك في السلوك القانوني. The machines are watching us, and they are making judgments about what we do. المكائن هي يراقبنا ، وانهم يحرزون احكام حول ما نقوم به.

Software listens to the audio and watches the video and flags any suspicious noises or movements. البرمجيات يستمع الى اغنية ويشاهد الفيديو والاعلام اي تحركات مشبوهة او الضوضاء. School officials or instructors can then check the flagged portions of the feeds and decide whether cheating has taken place. مدرسة المسؤولين أو المدربين يمكن ان تتحقق من تحمل هذه الاجزاء من الفيد ويقرر ما اذا كان الغش قد حدثت.

Software Secure is marketing the system to a wide range of schools and testing organizations that administer tests. البرمجيات هي آمنة تسويق النظام لطائفة واسعة من المدارس وتجارب المنظمات التي تدير الاختبارات.

What’s really going on here? ما الذي يحدث حقا هنا؟

Schools are increasingly installing cameras to المدارس بشكل متزايد الى تركيب كاميرات spy on students تجسس على الطلاب . The stated reasons include the prosecution of crimes likely to occur at a school such as vandalism and theft, but the cameras also can be used to enforce school rules such as tardiness, truancy and running in the halls. الاسباب المعلنة لتشمل محاكمة مرتكبي الجرائم التي يحتمل ان يحدث في المدرسة مثل التخريب والسرقه ، ولكن أيضا كاميرات يمكن استخدامها لانفاذ القواعد المدرسية مثل التأخر ، والتغيب بالظهور في القاعات.

How that slippery slope works كيف يعمل هذا منحدر زلق

Is it a good idea to put cameras everywhere to punish noncriminal behavior? انها ليست فكرة جيدة لوضع كاميرات في كل مكان لمعاقبة noncriminal السلوك؟ Most people would say no. معظم الناس ان اقول لا. On the other hand, do we want to live in a world where cameras and computers watch our every move and report every minor transgression? ومن ناحية اخرى ، نريد ان نعيش في عالم اصبحت فيه كاميرات واجهزة الكومبيوتر ومشاهدة كل تحرك والتقرير تجاوز كل قاصر؟ Are we heading toward a system where fines are issued on the spot for profanity, like in the 1993 Sylvester Stallone movie Demolition Man ? هل نحن يتجه الى نظام الغرامات حيث تصدر على الفور للتجديف ، ومثل في عام 1993 فيلم سيلفستر ستالون هدم رجل؟

Are we moving to a society where right and wrong is synonymous with “caught on tape” or “not caught on tape”? هل نتحرك الى مجتمع حيث الصواب والخطأ هو مرادف "صيدها على شريط" او "لا الصيد على الشريط"؟ Has anyone even noticed that we’re sliding down this slippery slope? وقد لاحظنا ان اي شخص حتى نقوم هذا الانزلاق الى اسفل منحدر زلق؟

We need to watch the watchers نحن بحاجة الى مشاهدة المراقبون

The new surveillance technology is impressive and can help counter major crimes and terrorist acts, and save lives. تكنولوجيا المراقبة الجديدة مثير للاعجاب ويمكن ان يساعد على مكافحة الجرائم الكبرى والاعمال الارهابيه ، وانقاذ الارواح. But less impressive are our rules, guidelines and restrictions on the growing use of cameras and artificial intelligence to monitor minor crimes and noncriminal activity. ولكن أقل للاعجاب هي قواعدنا ، ومبادئ توجيهية وقيودا على الاستخدام المتزايد للكاميرات والذكاء الاصطناعي لرصد الجرائم البسيطة وnoncriminal النشاط.

Each individual case can be justified, but there can be no justification for us to blindly slouch toward an Orwellian society in which computer software is employed to watch and judge everyone — and expose, record and punish every minor transgression. كل حالة فردية لا يمكن تبريره ، ولكن لا يمكن ان يكون هناك مبرر لنا لأعمى التهدل في اتجاه اورويلي المجتمع في برامج الحاسوب التي تستخدم لمشاهده والقاضي الجميع -- وفضح ، سجل ومعاقبة كل تجاوز طفيفة.

We shouldn’t try to replace etiquette, good manners, personal ethics and morality with cybercops. اننا لا ينبغي ان يحاول ليحل محل الآداب والسلوكيات الحسنه ، والاخلاق الشخصيه والاخلاق مع cybercops. The old-fashioned social controls aren’t perfect — certainly not as perfect as computer-enhanced controls can be — and that’s precisely why we can live with them. القديمة ، فان الضوابط الاجتماعية ليست مثاليه -- بالتأكيد ليس مثاليا كما الحاسوب تعزيز الضوابط يمكن -- وهذا بالضبط السبب في أننا يمكن ان نعيش معها.
