“The letter calls on the Egyptian President Mubarak to immediately open border-crossing with Gaza for urgent humanitarian aid,” Masoud Shajareh, chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Commission, told IRNA on Friday. "وتدعو الرسالة على الرئيس المصري حسني مبارك على الفور إلى فتح المعابر الحدودية مع قطاع غزة لارسال مساعدات انسانية عاجلة ،" مسعود Shajareh ، رئيس اللجنة الإسلامية لحقوق الإنسان ، في تصريح لمراسل ارنا يوم الجمعة.

The already-worse Israeli siege on Gaza has created miserable living conditions for more than 1.5 million people mostly women and children trapped inside the strip. بالفعل أسوأ الحصار الاسرائيلي على غزة قد خلق ظروف معيشية بائسة لأكثر من 1.5 مليون شخص معظمهم من النساء والأطفال المحاصرين داخل القطاع.

“Israeli ongoing collective punishment of the civilian population is pushing Gazans into further poverty and misery,” he said. "العقاب الجماعي الاسرائيلية المستمرة للسكان المدنيين يدفع سكان غزة إلى مزيد من الفقر والبؤس".

Referring to the expansion of Jewish settlements in the occupied Palestinian lands, Shajareh said the humanitarian crisis created by Israeli policy of collective punishment must “no longer be tolerated”. في اشارة الى توسيع المستوطنات اليهودية في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة ، وقال Shajareh الأزمة الإنسانية التي أوجدها الإسرائيلية سياسة العقاب الجماعي يجب أن "لم يعد من الممكن تحمله".

He called on the Egyptian government to open its border with Gaza so that humanitarian supplies could be passed to the besieged Palestinians. ودعا الحكومة المصرية إلى فتح حدودها مع قطاع غزة حتى أن الإمدادات الإنسانية يمكن ان يتم اقراره لفلسطينيين المحاصرين.

“While none can ignore the plight of the Palestinians, the Egyptian government bears the responsibility of allowing vital aid to the innocent people of Gaza whose only crime is living under occupation,” he said. "وفي حين أن لا شيء يمكن تجاهل محنة الفلسطينيين ، فإن الحكومة المصرية تتحمل قسطا من مسؤولية السماح للمساعدات حيوية الناس الأبرياء في قطاع غزة هو الجريمة التي فقط الذين يعيشون تحت الاحتلال".

Shajareh added that the letter has been signed by human rights activists and other personalities from different countries including the UK, Turkey, Italy, Malaysia, Denmark, Sudan, Greece and Indonesia. Shajareh واضاف ان الرسالة قد وقعت من قبل الناشطين في مجال حقوق الإنسان وغيرهم من الشخصيات من مختلف البلدان بما فيها المملكة المتحدة ، تركيا ، ايطاليا ، ماليزيا ، الدانمرك ، السودان ، اليونان واندونيسيا. –IRNA - ايرنا
