Included in the 62 arrestees were 55 people bearing nametags with names of those “cleared for release” but still held at Gitmo-and five more nametags for those who have died at Guantanamo Bay.
Witness against Torture began the day with a rally at the Capitol Reflecting Pool, then marched in orange jump suits and black hoods(just like the ones in Gitmo) up to the White House, where “detainees” became detainees for real by advancing onto the White House sidewalk and refusing to move until arrested.
