Almost without exception, the scientists who claim to doubt that manmade climate change is taking place fall into two categories: either they are not qualified in the branch of science they are discussing or they have received money from fossil fuel companies. وبدون استثناء تقريبا ، ومطالبة العلماء من شك في أن لتغير المناخ التي تسبب فيها الانسان تجري تنقسم الى فئتين : إما أنهم ليسوا مؤهلين في فرع من فروع العلم يتناولون او انهم حصلوا على اموال من شركات الوقود الاحفوري. The others are the very opposite of sceptics. فإن البعض الآخر العكس تماما من المتشككين. Many of them are paid to start with a conclusion – that climate change isn’t happening or isn’t important – then to find data and arguments to support it. وكثير منهم يدفع الى الاستنتاج ان يبدأ -- ان تغير المناخ أو لا يحدث ليس المهم -- بعد ذلك لايجاد الحجج والبيانات لتقديم الدعم لها. The energy companies’ propaganda campaign is amplified by scientific illiterates in the media, such as Melanie Phillips, Christopher Booker, Nigel Lawson, Alexander Cockburn and the television producer (who made Channel 4’s documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle) Martin Durkin. ولكن من الناس لا يفهمون الفرق بين الاقران واستعرضت ورقة كراسة تتخذ فيها شركات الطاقة 'حملة دعاءيه من جانب والعلم هو تضخيم الاميين في وسائل الاعلام ، مثل ميلاني فيليبس ، كريستوفر بوكير ، نايجل لوسون ، الكسندر cockburn والمنتج التلفزيوني (4 من تقدم قناة كبيرة للفيلم وثائقي من الاحتيال الاحترار العالمى) مارتن دركين.
I don’t believe that the energy companies should be prosecuted for commissioning the truckload of trash their sponsored experts publish. لا اعتقد ان شركات الطاقة ينبغي ان تكون محاكمة لتكليف حموله شاحنة من النفايات على نشر برعايه الخبراء. But their campaign of disinformation must be exposed again and again. ولكن حملة التضليل الاعلامي ويجب ان تعرض مرارا وتكرارا. Like the tobacco lobbyists, they are not only delaying essential public action; they also create the impression that science is for sale to the highest bidder. مثل التبغ التي مارستها مجموعات ضغط ، إلا أنها ليست أساسية في تأخير العمل العام ، كما أنها تعطي انطباعا ان العلم هو للبيع الى السعر الاعلى.
The awful truth is that sometimes it is. المرعب فإن الحقيقة هي انه في بعض الاحيان من ذلك.
