British arms company BAE Systems secretly paid a Saudi prince more than £1bn over a period of more than 10 years, an investigation has revealed. شركة الأسلحة البريطانية بي اي اي سيستمز سرا امير سعودي دفع اكثر من 1bn جنيه استرليني على مدى فترة من اكثر من 10 سنوات ، وكشفت التحقيقات.
Prince Bandar bin Sultan received the money with the full knowledge of the Ministry of Defence, according to the BBC’s Panorama programme. الأمير بندر بن سلطان وتلقي الاموال مع المعرفه الكاملة من وزارة الدفاع ، وفقا لبرنامج بى بى سى للبانوراما. BAE sent up to £120m a year to two Saudi embassy accounts which the BBC says were a “conduit” to Prince Bandar. The prince, who was the Saudi ambassador to the US for 20 years, was the architect of the Al Yamamah deal to sell military aircraft to Saudi Arabia. الامير ، وكان من السفير السعودي إلى الولايات المتحدة لمدة 20 عاما ، كان مهندس الجامعة العربية yamamah صفقة لبيع طائرات عسكرية الى المملكه العربية السعودية. The deal, worth £43bn, was signed in 1985. الصفقة ، التي تبلغ قيمتها 43bn جنيه استرليني ، تم التوقيع في عام 1985.
David Caruso, an investigator who worked for the American bank which held the accounts, told the BBC: “There wasn’ta distinction between the accounts of the embassy, or official government accounts as we would call them, and the accounts of the royal family.” ديفيد كاروسو ، محقق من يعمل في البنك الامريكى الذى عقد الحسابات ، وابلغ بي بي سي : "هناك تمييز بين wasn'ta حسابات السفارة ، أو الحسابات الرسمية للحكومة كما نود ان ندعو لهم ، وحسابات العائلة المالكه ".
Panorama says the payments were listed on the arms deal contract as “support services,” and were authorised every quarter by the MoD. بانوراما يقول المدفوعات كانت مدرجة على عقد صفقة اسلحه "خدمات الدعم" ، وكانت كل ثلاثة اشهر والمرخص من قبل وزارة الدفاع. The Serious Fraud Office discovered the payments during an investigation into the Al Yamamah deal which was halted last year after a review by the attorney general, Lord Goldsmith. مكتب الاحتيال الخطيره التي اكتشفت المدفوعات خلال التحقيق في الجامعة العربية yamamah الصفقة التي توقفت العام الماضى بعد اجراء استعراض من جانب المدعي العام ، اللورد Goldsmith. He said it was in Britain’s national interest to drop the investigation. قال أنها كانت في المصلحه الوطنية لبريطانيا لاسقاط التحقيق.
Prince Bandar and the MoD declined to comment on the matter, and BAE said that the company acted lawfully at all times. الامير بندر وزارة الدفاع ورفض التعليق على الامر ، وbae وقال ان الشركة تصرفت بصورة مشروعة في جميع الأوقات.
