US is ‘rogue state, threatens humanity’

America is a longstanding rogue state that menaces world peace and threatens humanity, a US activist and author warns.

In an article on Veteran™s Today titled œRogue State America”, Stephen Lendman describes a rogue state as breaking international law and posing a threat to the security of other nations.

Lendman told Press TV on Sunday that during the last century, US foreign policy has involved œinvasions, bombings, subversions, overthrowing governments, suppressing popular movements for social change, assassinating political leaders, perverting elections, manipulating labor unions, manufacturing news, death squads, torture, chemical, biological and nuclear warfare, radiological contamination, drug trafficking, mercenaries, police state repression, and war on humanity.”

Lendman said that an example of America™s rogue state behavior is its desire to stir up war against Syria despite an agreement to put Syria™s weapons under international control with the goal of destroying them by 2014.

Washington has claimed that the Syrian government is responsible for a chemical attack near Damascus on August 21. Syrian President Bashar Assad has categorically denied his government™s involvement in the attack.

œAmerica doesn™t support diplomatic conflict resolution … America wants the Assad government toppled. War is often its prime option to do so. There™s no question that America will not give an inch to whatever Bashar Assad does.”

Lendman also warned that œAmerica plans regime change in Iran … Rogue state America plans regime change against all sovereign, independent countries.”

œWashington™s agenda, going back generations, is to be a bullying, rogue state, and because of that, is threatens world peace, it threatens humanity™s survival.”
