At least three people have been killed and 12 others injured in a bomb attack at a southwestern border crossing point between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
According to a top security official, the bombing occurred on Wednesday in the southwestern Pakistani town of Chaman, on the border with Afghanistan.
œOne FC (Frontier Corps) personnel and two civilians were martyred and 12 others were wounded,” local border force commander Colonel Haider Ali was quoted by AFP as saying.
So far, there has been no claim of responsibility for the attack.
Earlier in the day, a roadside bomb explosion in Pakistan™s southwestern Baluchistan Province left two soldiers dead and three others wounded.
Reports said the blast took place in Jhalvari area, eight kilometers (five miles) from Mashkey town.
Thousands of Pakistanis have lost their lives in bombings and other militant attacks since 2001, when Pakistan entered an alliance with the United States in the so-called war on terror.
Thousands more have been displaced by the wave of violence and militancy sweeping across the country.
