DAMNING new evidence that a key witness in the Lockerbie case was paid a £2m reward by US investigators will form part of the court appeal by the Libyan convicted of the attack. اللعنه ادلة جديدة على ان الشاهد الرئيسي في قضية لوكربي ودفع ا ش جنيه استرليني مكافاه من جانب محققى الولايات المتحدة ستشكل جزءا من محكمة الاستئناف المقدم من الجماهيرية ادين الهجوم.

Sources close to the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission (SCCRC) have revealed that the cash was paid to Maltese shopkeeper Tony Gauci as a direct reward for giving crucial prosecution evidence but was disguised as “compensation”. وقالت مصادر قريبة الاسكتلندي لجنة اعادة النظر في القضايا الجناءيه (sccrc) قد كشفت ان كانت تدفع نقدا لصاحب الدكان المالطي طوني gauci كنتيجه مباشرة لاعطاء مكافاه حاسمة ادلة الادعاء ولكن كان متنكر في زي "التعويض".

Scotland on Sunday can also reveal that another key plank in the appeal will be new evidence that the type of timer used in the bomb was available “all over the place” and not just sold to Libya as claimed in court. اسكتلندا يوم الأحد يمكن ايضا ان تكشف عن آخر أساسية ترتكز اليها في النداء سيكون دليلا جديدا على ان من النوع المستخدم في توقيت القنبله كانت متوفره "في كل ارجاء المكان" وليس فقط بيعت الى ليبيا كما ادعى في المحكمه.

The reward and timer evidence can today be confirmed as the two “missing” appeal grounds submitted by the SCCRC. الثواب وتوقيت الادله يمكن ان يكون اليوم كما اكد الجانبين "المفقودين" لاسباب الطعن المقدم من sccrc. The Commission said earlier this year it had discovered six grounds of appeal but only gave details of four. وقالت اللجنة في وقت سابق من هذا العام انها قد اكتشفت ستة اسباب الطعن ولكن فقط تفاصيل الاربعة.

Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi has been granted a second appeal against his conviction for the December 1988 Lockerbie bombing, in which 270 people died. عبد العلي mohmed Al - megrahi منحت ثانية الاستئناف ضد ادانته للتفجير لوكربي كانون الاول / ديسمبر 1988 ، الذي توفي 270 شخصا. Gauci’s evidence has long been considered controversial and there have already been claims that he received rewards and treats from investigators. Gauci ادلة منذ فترة طويلة تعتبر خلافيه ، وهناك مطالبات وقد سبق ان حصل على جوائز ويعامل من المحققين.

Now, a source close to the SCCRC has provided the first confirmation that Gauci received a substantial reward and that it formed part of the grounds for appealing the case. الآن ، وأكد مصدر وثيق الصلة الى sccrc قدمت أول تأكيد بأن gauci تلقت مكافاه كبيرة ، وانها كانت جزءا من اسباب قانونيه للطعن في القضية.

The US and UK governments needed a conviction in the case and the fact that the key witness was rewarded for his testimony casts doubts on its value. الولايات المتحدة والمملكه المتحدة ان الحكومات بحاجة الى الإدانة في هذه القضية ، وحقيقة أن مفتاح كان الشاهد لشهادته يكافا يلقي ظلالا من الشكوك على قيمتها.

“It is not acceptable to pay a witness as that practice is likely to make him anxious to please.” "من غير المقبول ان يدفع الشاهد كما ان الممارسه ومن المرجح ان يجعله حريصة على رجاء."

Gauci is understood to be planning to use his newfound wealth to fund a move to Australia with his brother, Paul, who was also on the witness list but was not called to give evidence. Gauci ومن المفهوم ان يكون التخطيط لاستخدام مساعيه newfound الثروة الى صندوق الانتقال الى استراليا مع اخيه بول ، الذي كان شاهدا ايضا على قائمة ولكن لم يكن ودعا الى تقديم ادلة.

Maltese sources have also revealed that Gauci has stepped up security at the home in Swieqi which he shares with his brother. المالطيه وكشفت المصادر ايضا ان gauci صعدت الامن في المنزل في swieqi التي يتقاسمها مع اخيه. The source claimed the reward had caused a split in the Gauci family. وادعى المصدر ان المكافاه التي تسببت في سبليت في gauci الاسرة.

The brothers have five surviving siblings, as well as one who died, and the others have a stake in the shop, Mary’s House, which was founded by their father. وقد الاخوة الاشقاء الخمسة الباقين على قيد الحياة ، فضلا عن احد الذين ماتوا ، وآخرين لهم مصلحة في متجر ، ماري منزل ، والذي تأسس من قبل والدهما.
