Demo held outside Egypt embassy in UK

Activists protest outside the Egyptian embassy in London on Friday against deadly crackdown in Egypt.

British campaigners have staged a protest outside the Egyptian embassy in London in order to show their anger against deadly violence in the North Arab country.

Protesters condemned Egyptian police’s bloody crackdown on supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsi.

They were carrying placards with slogans against Egyptian army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Thousands of people in Libya, Pakistan, and Yemen have also staged similar rallies to bring public attention to recent massacre in the Arab country.

The deadly violence in Egypt erupted on Wednesday, August 14, in the capital Cairo when security forces attacked pro-Morsi protesters in Egypt.

The police crackdown on Rabaa and Nahda protest camps left at least 638 people dead and over 4,000 others injured.

However, the Muslim Brotherhood put the death toll far higher, saying more than 2,000 people had died. It has vowed to peacefully defeat the military coup that led to Morsiâ„¢s ouster last month.
