Bush warns Iraq over ties with Iran بوش يحذر العراق اكثر من أي علاقات تجارية مع ايران
US President George W. Bush sternly warned Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki Thursday against cozying up to Iran, amid what Washington sees as unsettling signs of warming Baghdad-Tehran relations. الرئيس الامريكى جورج دبليو بوش بشدة وحذر رئيس الوزراء العراقى نوري المالكي الخميس ضد cozying يصل الى ايران ، وفي خضم ما ترى واشنطن كما زعزعة علامات الاحترار بغداد - طهران العلاقات.
Bush, holding a pre-vacation press conference, said he was not surprised at pictures showing cordial meetings between Maliki and top Iranian leaders in Tehran but that he hoped the prime minister was delivering a tough message. بوش ، عقد قبل العطله مؤتمر صحافي ، قال انه لم يفاجأ عند عرض صور الاجتماعات الودية بين المالكي وكبار الزعماء الايرانيين فى طهران ولكنه اعرب عن امله في ان رئيس الوزراء كان قاسيا على ايصال الرسالة.
“You don’t want the picture to be kind of, you know, duking it out,” when on a diplomatic mission he said, putting up his fists like a boxer. "انك لا تريد ان تكون الصورة من نوع ، تعلمون ، duking بها ،" عندما بشأن بعثة دبلوماسية وقال له بقبضة اليد طرح مثل الملاكم.
But “if the signal is that Iran is constructive, I will have to have a heart to heart with my friend, the prime minister, because I don’t believe they are constructive,” said Bush, who called Iran “a very troubling nation.” ولكن "اذا كانت الاشارة هي ان ايران هي بنائه ، وسوف تكون لدينا القلب الى القلب مع صديقي ، رئيس الوزراء ، لانني لا اعتقد انها بناءة ،" وقال بوش ، الذي دعا ايران "مقلق للغاية الامة ".
The US president’s comments came days after he disagreed sharply with Afghan President Hamid Karzai about Iran’s influence after Karzai called Tehran a positive force in combating extremist forces in his country. الرئيس الأميركي جاء بعد أيام قال انه يختلف بشدة مع الرئيس الافغاني حميد قرضاي عن نفوذ ايران بعد ان دعا قرضاى طهران الى قوة ايجابية في مكافحة القوى المتطرفة فى بلاده.
And they came as top US officials worried about the pace of political reconciliation in Iraq, amid misgivings in Washington about whether Maliki, a Shiite, truly wanted or was able to build bridges to minority Sunnis. وجاؤوا كبار المسؤولين الامريكيين كما يتخوف من وتيرة المصالحة السياسية في العراق ، وسط شكوك في واشنطن حول ما اذا كان المالكي ، شيعي ، أو كان يريد حقا قادرة على بناء الجسور لأقلية من السنة.
Iran, which the United States blames for fomenting much of the bloodshed in Iraq, earlier gave visiting Maliki its full support for restoring security but told him a pullout of US forces was the only way to end the violence. ايران ، التي تلوم الولايات المتحدة لاثارة الكثير من اراقة الدماء في العراق ، فى وقت سابق اعطت زيارة المالكي دعمه الكامل لاستعادة الامن ولكن اخبرته أ انسحاب القوات الامريكية هو السبيل الوحيد لانهاء العنف.
According to the state-run IRNA news agency, Maliki thanked Iran for its “positive and constructive” work in “providing security and fighting terrorism in Iraq.” ووفقا للدولة تديرها وكالة انباء ايرنا ، والمالكي عن شكره لايران "ايجابية وبناءة" العمل في "توفير الامن ومحاربة الارهاب فى العراق."
Bush expressed skepticism and warned Iran “there will be a price to pay” if its agents are caught undermining US-led efforts in Iraq. بوش اعرب عن الشكوكيه وحذر ايران "سيكون هناك ثمن" اذا كلائها يتورط تقويض الجهود التى تقودها الولايات المتحدة فى العراق.
“There will be consequences” for any Iranians shipping weapons, including sophisticated roadside bombs, inside Iraq, said the US president, who branded Tehran “a destabilizing influence” in the Middle East. "ستكون هناك عواقب" لأي الايرانيين شحن الاسلحة ، بما فيها القنابل المتطوره ، داخل العراق ، قال الرئيس الامريكى ، الذى تحمل علامة طهران "زعزعة الاستقرار" في الشرق الاوسط.
Bush cited Iran’s support for Lebanon’s Shiite militant group Hezbollah; Tehran’s suspect nuclear program; and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s anti-Israel warnings, which he said Washington “cannot live with.” استشهد بوش دعم ايران للبنان في مجموعة حزب الله الشيعيه المتشدده ؛ طهران للاشتباه البرنامج النووي ؛ والرئيس الايراني محمود أحمدي نجاد المناهضه لاسرائيل تحذيرات واشنطن قال فيها "لا يمكن ان يتعايش معه."
“My message to the Iranian people is, ‘You can do better than this current government. "رسالتي الى الشعب الايراني هي ، لأنك تستطيع ان تفعل افضل من ذلك ان الحكومة الحالية. You don’t have to be isolated. وليس عليك أن تكون معزوله. You don’t have to be in a position where you can’t realize your full economic potential,’” Bush said. وليس عليك ان تكون في وضع يمكنها من حيث لا يمكنك ان تدرك اسمك الكامل الامكانات الاقتصادية ، '" وقال بوش.
Asked whether he was confident that, in past talks, Maliki shared his view about Iran, the US president replied: “Does he understand with some extremist groups there’s connections with Iran? وعما اذا كان على ثقة من ان المحادثات فى الماضى ، والمالكي يشاطره الرأي حول ايران ، الرئيس الاميركي أجاب : "هل نفهم انه مع بعض الجماعات المتطرفة هناك اتصالات مع إيران؟ And he does. ويفعل. And I’m confident.” وانا على ثقة ".
Maliki’s talks appeared to confirm the increasingly warm relations that have emerged between majority Shiite Iraq and overwhelmingly Shiite Iran following the fall of Saddam Hussein’s Sunni-dominated regime. المالكي محادثات فيما يبدو لتأكيد متزايد علاقات حميمه التي ظهرت بين الاغلبيه الشيعيه في العراق وايران شيعيه ساحقه في اعقاب سقوط صدام حسين السنيه التي يسيطر عليها النظام.
In a highly symbolic move, Maliki met the families of seven Iranian officials arrested in Iraq by US forces on accusations of being members of an elite Revolutionary Guards force on a mission to stir trouble. وفي تحرك رمزي للغاية ، والمالكي التقى اسر سبعة مسؤولين إيرانيين اعتقلوا في العراق من قبل القوات الامريكية على الاتهامات بكونهم اعضاء النخبه في الحرس الثوري قوة على بعثة لاثارة المتاعب.
Iran insists the men were diplomats and is livid that the United States has shown no sign of releasing them. ايران تصر على الرجلين الدبلوماسيين وlivid هو ان الولايات المتحدة لم تبد اي علامة على اطلاق سراحهما.
Bush, who was bound for his family’s oceanside compound in the northeastern state of Maine, also acknowledged difficulties in forging political reconciliation in Iraq — one of the key goals of the US-led crackdown. بوش ، الذى كان ملزما لأسرته اوشنسايد المجمع في الشمال الشرقي للدولة مين ، واعترف ايضا صعوبات في اقامة المصالحة السياسية فى العراق -- واحدا من الاهداف الرئيسية للحملة التى تقودها الولايات المتحدة.
“There is a lot of work left to be done, don’t get me wrong,” he said, noting the failure of Iraqi lawmakers to pass key legislation aimed at soothing disputes that fuel sectarian violence. "هناك الكثير من العمل الذى يتعين القيام به اليسار ، لا يحصل لي الخطأ ،" مشيرا الى فشل العراقية المشرعون لتمرير تشريعات رئيسية تهدف الى تلطف المنازعات التي تؤجج العنف الطائفي.
But “if one were to look hard, they could find indications that — more than indications, facts that show the government is learning how to function,” said the president. ولكن "اذا كان لاحد ان ننظر بجد ، وانها يمكن ان تجد اشارات -- اكثر من مؤشرات ، وتبين الوقائع ان الحكومة هو ان نتعلم كيف تعمل ،" قال الرئيس.
