TWO and a half months into his job in 2001, President Bush addressed the American Society of Newspaper Editors and faced a question about open government. شهرين ونصف الشهر الى وظيفته في عام 2001 ، الرئيس بوش خطابا امام الجمعية الامريكية للتحرير الصحف واجهت سؤال حول فتح الحكومة. There are some things that when I discuss in the privacy of the Oval Office or national security matters that just should not be in the national arena. هناك بعض الاشياء التى عندما أناقش في الخصوصيه من المكتب البيضاوي او الامن الوطني فقط الأمور التي لا ينبغي ان يكون في الساحة الوطنية.
“On the other hand, my administration will cooperate fully with a Freedom of Information request if it doesn’t jeopardize national security, for example. "ومن ناحية اخرى ، فان ادارتي سوف تتعاون تعاونا كاملا مع حرية المعلومات طلب إذا لم يعرض للخطر الامن القومي ، على سبيل المثال. Last week, the Justice Department argued that the office is not subject to the open-records law. فى الأسبوع الماضى ، فان وزارة العدل القول بان المكتب لا تخضع لقانون السجلات المفتوحه.
