Passengers escaped unharmed today after a British Airways jet crash landed at Heathrow Airport. الركاب نجا سالما اليوم بعد تحطم طائرة الخطوط الجوية البريطانية هبطت في مطار هيثرو.
The aircraft appeared to have landed several hundred yards short of the southern runway - and just yards from a busy perimeter road. ويبدو ان الطائرة قد هبطت عدة مئات من ساحات قصيرة من جنوب مدرج -- وعادل يارده من محيط الطريق مزدحم.
The impact wrecked the undercarriage and caused extensive damage to both wings. اثر عجلات الطائرة دمرت والحقت اضرارا جسيمة لكلا الجناحين.
The aircraft’s emergency chutes were deployed but Scotland Yard said there were no reports of serious injuries. الطائرة في حالات الطوارئ وتم نشر المزالق ولكن سكوتلانديارد قال لم تكن هناك تقارير عن اصابات خطيرة. A spokesman also said there was no suggestion that terrorism was involved. وقال متحدث باسم وايضا لم يكن هناك اقتراح بأن الارهاب هو المشاركة.
BA said the aircraft, a Boeing 777, was flight BA38 from Beijing. وقال با الطائرة ، وهي من طراز بوينغ 777 ، كانت الرحله ba38 من بكين.
The incident happened as Prime Minister Gordon Brown was due to leave Heathrow for China and India. وقد وقع الحادث كما قال رئيس الوزراء غوردون براون كان من المقرر ان يغادر هيثرو بالنسبة للصين والهند.
His flight was delayed because of the incident, but his jet was not involved directly. رحلته تأخرت بسبب الحادث ، لكنه لم يشارك الطائرة مباشرة.
Witnesses said around six fire engines were at the scene of the incident and the stricken jet was surrounded by a sea of firefighting foam. وقال شهود ان حوالى ستة محركات النار كانت في مكان الحادث وكانت الطائرة المنكوبه محاطه ببحر من رغوه الاطفاء.
A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service said three passengers were assessed for minor injuries following the incident. لندن قالت متحدثة باسم خدمات الاسعاف ان ثلاثة ركاب وجرى تقييم لاصابات طفيفة بعد هذا الحادث.
Six ambulances, two fast response cars and a hazardous response team were scrambled to the scene. ست سيارات الاسعاف ، سيارات اثنين الاستجابة السريعه والخطره فريق الاستجابة كانت تدافعت الى مكان الحادث.
Scotland Yard said: “Police were called at 12.43pm to reports of an incident involving an aircraft on the southern runway at Heathrow Airport. سكوتلانديارد قال : "ان الشرطة كانت تسمى في 12.43pm الى تقارير من حادث طائرة على المدرج الجنوبي في مطار هيثرو.
“We understand that all passengers and crew are currently being evacuated. "ونحن نفهم ان كل الركاب وافراد الطاقم ويجري حاليا اجلاء.
“There are no reports of any persons seriously injured at this time. "لا توجد اي تقارير من الاشخاص بجروح خطيرة في هذا الوقت.
“There is nothing to suggest at this stage that the incident is in any way terrorist-related.” "ليس هناك ما يوحي في هذه المرحلة هو ان هذه الحادثه بأي شكل من الاشكال الارهابيه ذات الصلة."
A Heathrow airport spokesman said: “A British Airways flight arriving from Beijing carried out an emergency landing at 12.42pm. أ مطار هيثرو وقال الناطق : "الخطوط الجوية البريطانية للطيران قادمة من بكين نفذوا الهبوط الاضطراري في 12.42pm. Passengers have been evacuated and there are currently no reported injuries. وقد تم اجلاء الركاب وتوجد حاليا اي اصابات المبلغ عنها.
“The Heathrow southern runway has been closed, but the northern runway remains open.” "هيثرو المدرج الجنوبي قد اغلقت ، ولكن المدرج الشمالي لا يزال مفتوحا".
The incident left the Prime Minster’s chartered British Airways 747 stranded by its departure gate. الحادث ترك رئاسة الوزراء ، استأجرتها شركة الخطوط الجوية البريطانية 747 تقطعت بهم من قبل رحيلها البوابه.
Mr Brown was being accompanied by 25 leading businessmen in the official visit including Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson. السيد براون كان يرافقهن 25 كبار رجال الاعمال فى زيارة رسمية بما العذراء بوس السير ريتشارد Branson. Also on the plane bound for Beijing was Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes. أيضا على الطائرة المتجهه الى بكين كانت الميداليه الذهبية في الالعاب الاوليمبيه السيدة كيلي هولمز.
Passengers on the Prime Minister’s aircraft were told that because of the runway incident there was no fire cover for the rest of the airport, meaning all take-offs and landings were halted. ركاب على رئيس الوزراء قال ان الطائرة كانت بسبب المدرج حادث اطلاق النار لم يكن هناك تغطية لبقية المطار ، وهذا يعني ان تتخذ جميع الموازنه وهبوط توقفت.
But an announcement on Mr Brown’s plane said that additional fire cover should be available within “20 minutes or so”, allowing take-off to resume. ولكن الاعلان عن السيد براون قال أن طائرة اضافية تغطي النار ينبغي ان تكون متاحة في غضون "20 دقيقة او نحو ذلك" ، والسماح للاقلاع الى استئناف.
There was no smoke visible from the crashed plane, which was surrounded by emergency vehicles. ليس هناك دخان من مرئية وتحطمت الطائرة ، التى كانت تحيط بها سيارات الاسعاف.
It stopped about 1,000 metres from the Prime Minister’s plane. وتوقف حوالى 1000 متر من رئيس الوزراء الطائرة.
A spokesman for air traffic control company Nats said planes were still taking off and landing at Heathrow under a single runway operation using the northern runway. وصرح الناطق باسم ومراقبة الحركة الجوية وقالت الشركة nats الطائرات كانت لا تزال الاقلاع والهبوط في هيثرو في اطار واحد مدرج تشغيل باستخدام المدرج الشمالي.
