12 Algerian and foreign hostages killed in gas plant rescue mission – state news
A mission to rescue workers being held by Islamist militants in an Algerian gas plant has resulted in the death of 12 hostages, according to Algerian state news. 30 foreign hostages remain unaccounted for amid reports the siege has come to an end.
