By بواسطة John Byrne جون بايرن | The ACLU issued a stinging rebuke to the Denver Police Department Wednesday, alleging that the department may have violated laws and constitutional rights of protesters arrested outside the Democratic National Convention. | اتحاد الحريات المدنيه الامريكى اصدر اللسع التوبيخ الى دنفر ادارة الشرطة الاربعاء ، زاعما ان الادارة قد انتهكت القوانين والحقوق الدستورية للاعتقال المتظاهرين خارج الديمقراطى الوطنى.
In the letter, obtained by RAW STORY, the ACLU revealed that the police refused those arrested access to attorneys. في الرسالة التي حصلت عليها وقصة الخام ، وكشف اتحاد الحريات المدنيه الامريكى ان الشرطة رفضت قبض عليهم الوصول الى المحامين. Police did not let detainees use phones unless they posted their own bonds, and even failed to provide shoes, in one case marching a protester into court in bare feet and leg shackles, according the ACLU. ولم تقم الشرطة واسمحوا استخدام الهواتف المعتقلين الا اذا كانت سندات خاصة بها على الشبكه ، بل وحتى لم تقدم الاحذيه ، في حالة واحدة في مسيرة أ المحتج الى المحكمه عارية في الساق والقدمين والاغلال ، وطبقا لاتحاد الحريات المدنيه الامريكى.
What’s more, police are said to have tricked protesters into pleading guilty, by giving them the impression they had to plead guilty in order to post bond. ما هو اكثر من ذلك ، قالت الشرطة ان يكون للخداع والمحتجين الى مرافعه ومذنب ، من خلال اعطائها انطباعا انها قد الإقرار بالذنب في ما بعد من أجل السندات. This meant that no one was allowed to make a phone call unless they plead guilty, thus making it impossible for arrestees to even call a lawyer until admitting guilt. وهذا يعني انه لم يكن هناك احد والسماح لهم باجراء اتصال هاتفي الا اذا كانت بالذنب ، مما جعل من المستحيل بالنسبة الى الموقوفين حتى الكلمه محام حتى الاعتراف بالذنب.

“After the arrests, attorneys from the People’s Law Project and the ACLU arrived at the [Temporary Arrestee Processing Site to conduct confidential attorney-client consultations," Pendergrass continued. "The City refused to provide any access to allow these persons to meet with attorneys." "بعد القاء القبض على المحامين من الشعب مشروع القانون واتحاد الحريات المدنيه الامريكى وصل في [موقوف مؤقتا تجهيز الموقع سرية لاجراء مشاورات النائب العميل ،" Pendergrass استمرار. The only opportunity lawyers had to speak with those arrested was in front of the jury gallery or in open court in front of the judge. الفرصة الوحيدة المحامين ان اتكلم مع هؤلاء المعتقلين وكان امام هيئة المحلفين او معرض في جلسة علنيه امام القاضي.
“The only access we were given to those clients was to whisper,” he wrote. "الوسيلة الوحيدة للحصول لقد اعطيت لنا لهؤلاء العملاء هو الهمس ،" انه كتب.
