Day of Action: Refuse to Pay - 20th April يوم العمل : ترفض دفع -- 20th ابريل
The Student Climate Project الطالب المناخ المشروع
All are invited to take part in a mass action against soaring public transport prices on Sunday 20th April. الجميع مدعوون الى المشاركة في العمل الجماهيري ضد ارتفاع اسعار النقل العام يوم الاحد 20th ابريل. We encourage people from all walks of life to board trains into the central London terminals, refusing to pay the fare. ونحن نشجع الناس من جميع مناحى الحياة الى المجلس القطارات في وسط لندن والمحطات ، ورفضهم دفع الاجره. People will converge together at the terminals at around 1pm. الناس سوف تلتقي معا في الطرفيه في انحاء 1pm. The action is highlighting the fact that public transport must become drastically cheaper and affordable if it is to become a viable alternative to the dominant carbon heavy motoring. هذا الاجراء هو تسليط الضوء على حقيقة ان وسائل النقل العام يجب ان تصبح أرخص والميسوره بشكل جذري اذا أريد أن يصبح بديلا لالمهيمنه الكربون السياقه الثقيلة. It will be a chance to collectively rise up and declare that we are not going to accept how much it costs to travel by sustainable means, and a warning to both the government and private train companies that these actions will continue until public transport prices are brought down massively. انه سيكون فرصة لترتفع بشكل جماعي وان تعلن اننا لن نقبل كم تكاليف السفر عن طريق وسائل مستدامه ، وتحذير الى كل من الحكومة والقطاع الخاص في تدريب الشركات ان هذه الاجراءات ستستمر حتى اسعار النقل العام يوجه انخفاض هائل.
The action is being organised by The Student Climate Project, because choosing whether or not to own a car is a decision many students are faced with. ويجري العمل التي نظمتها الطلابيه المناخ المشروع ، لأن اختيار او عدم امتلاك سيارة هو قرار الكثير من الطلاب يواجهون. Many will opt to own a car simply because an affordable and accessible alternative is not available. كثير من سيختارون في امتلاك سيارة لمجرد معقولة ويمكن الوصول اليها البديله ليست متاحة. This action gives students an empowering opportunity to contribute to changing the fundamentals of our carbon intensive infrastructure and economy, rather than merely feeling guilty about their own personal emissions. هذا الاجراء يعطي الطلاب تمكينيه الفرصة للاسهام في تغيير اساسيات الكربون مكثفة لدينا البنية الاساسية والاقتصاد ، بدلا من مجرد الإحساس بالذنب إزاء الشخصي الانبعاثات. But, of course, you don’t need to be a student to take part in the action! ولكن ، بالطبع ، لست بحاجة الى ان يكون الطالب ليشارك في العمل!
Since 1980 motoring has increased by an alarming 87%, and continues to grow despite the ongoing threat of climate change. السياقه منذ عام 1980 زاد مفزع 87 ٪ ، ومستمر في الزياده على الرغم من استمرار خطر تغير المناخ. This might have something to do with the fact that, in this time period, public transport costs for the user have risen by 40% in real terms, whereas motoring costs have decreased by 14%. ربما كان هذا ما يفعل شيئا لمع حقيقة انه ، في هذه الفترة الزمنية ، وتكاليف النقل العام للمستخدم قد ارتفعت بنسبة 40 ٪ من حيث القيمه الحقيقية ، في حين ان السيارات قد انخفضت التكاليف بنسبة 14 ٪. If anyone is in any doubt about the emission reductions public transport can bring, then you need look no further than the Department for Transport’s own calculations. اذا كان اي شخص في اي شك حول تخفيض الانبعاثات النقل العام يمكن ان تأتي ، ثم عليك ان ننظر الى ابعد من ادارة النقل التابعة لحسابات خاصة. In a parliamentary answer in July 2004, the Department stated that taking the train from London to Manchester would mean just 14% the carbon emissions of taking the car for the individual passenger. في الاجابه البرلمانيه في تموز / يولية 2004 ، وذكرت الإدارة أن تأخذ القطار من لندن الى مانشستر يعني فقط 14 ٪ من انبعاثات الكربون من اخذ السياره للفرد الراكب. [2]
Climate Change needs to be tackled today. تغير المناخ لا بد من التصدي لها اليوم. We need 90% cuts in UK emissions before 2030 if we are to avoid going beyond tipping point where the climate system will spiral out of our control completely. اننا بحاجة الى 90 ٪ من التخفيضات في انبعاثات المملكه المتحدة قبل 2030 اذا اردنا ان نتجنب تجاوز البقشيش نقطة حيث النظام المناخي سوف تخرج عن سيطرتنا تماما. As well as rapidly doing away with carbon intensive means of transport, we must also ensure the sustainable alternatives become available for all. كذلك بسرعة التخلص من الكربون مكثفة مع وسائل النقل ، ويجب علينا ايضا ان نضمن البدائل المستدامة تصبح متاحة للجميع.
Therefore, let’s come together on this action and bring about positive change: putting public transport first! لذا ، دعنا يلتقون على هذا العمل وتحقيق تغيير ايجابي : وضع النقل العام أولا!
