More than 70 protestors gathered on Ethel Street in central Birmingham on Saturday 12th, wearing distinctive masks and costumes to protest against the abusive policies of the Church of Scientology اكثر من 70 تجمع المتظاهرون في الشوارع على ايثيل في وسط برمنغهام يوم السبت الثاني عشر ، وارتداء الاقنعه والازياء المميزه للاحتجاج على السياسات المسيءه للكنيسة السيانتولوجيا
This was the third global protest organised by Anonymous in response to the Church of Scientology’s attacks on internet free speech [1]. وكان هذا الاحتجاج العالمى الثالث الذى تنظمه مجهولين استجابة لكنيسة السيانتولوجيا هجمات على شبكة الإنترنت وحرية التعبير [1]. The theme this time was the Disconnection policy, which requires Scientologists to break off communication with family or friends who criticise their involvement [2]. موضوع هذه المرة هو فصل السياسة ، الامر الذي يتطلب scientologists الى قطع الاتصالات مع الاسرة او الأصدقاء من انتقاد مشاركتها [2].
A march along New Street was ruled out by police, apparently because there were not enough officers on-duty to police it. في آذار / مارس جديدة على طول الشارع واستبعد من قبل الشرطة ، على ما يبدو بسبب لا يوجد عدد كاف من الضباط على واجب الشرطة.
Most protestors hid their identities because of the Church’s reputation for harassing opponents [3]. معظم المحتجين حجبا هوياتهم نظرا للسمعة الكنيسة لمضايقه المعارضين [3]. During the six hour demonstration, they waved placards urging Scientology members to reconnect with their families. خلال ست ساعات التظاهره ، لافتات تحث انها ملوح السيونتولوجيا اعضاء لاعادة مع اسرهم. They also handed out leaflets, shared cake and bombarded the Scientology recruitment centre with songs and chants. كما توزع المناشير ، وتقاسم الكعكه وقصفت السيونتولوجيا مركز للتجنيد مع الأغاني والأناشيد. A contingent of protestors offered “free hugs” to passing shoppers. وحدة من المحتجين عرضت "الحضنات الحرة" الى وفاة المتسوقين.
Press statements from the Church of Scientology have called Anonymous a “terrorist group” [4]. تصريحات صحفية من كنيسة السيانتولوجيا وقد دعا مجهولين "جماعة ارهابية" [4]. A spokesman was quoted in the Birmingham Mail saying “Anonymous is perpetrating religious hate crimes against Churches of Scientology and individual Scientologists for no reason other than religious bigotry.”[5] وكان متحدث باسم ونقلت والبريد الالكتروني في برمنغهام قائلا "المغفله هي ارتكاب جرائم الكراهية الدينية ضد الكنائس السيونتولوجيا scientologists الفرديه وبدون اي سبب آخر غير التعصب الديني الاعمى." [5]
Local people who had been affected by Scientology came forward to talk to Anonymous, including one ex-member whose mother - still a Scientologist - disconnected from the rest of her family in 1989 and has not spoken to them since. من السكان المحليين قد تأثرت السيونتولوجيا جاء الحديث الى الامام بدون الكشف عن الهوية ، بما في أحد الأعضاء السابقين الذين الام -- لا تزال scientologist -- منفصلة عن بقية افراد اسرتها فى عام 1989 ولم يتحدث اليها منذ ذلك الحين. Another man who had formerly been involved in the Church claimed that he had been subjected to “training routines” where he had to yell at and insult a complete stranger. رجل آخر كانت في السابق من المشاركة في الكنيسة وادعى انه تعرض الى "التدريب الروتينيه" حيث كان قد ليصيح في واهانة كاملة غريب. He considered these techniques to be “brainwashing”. واعتبر ان هذه التقنيات "غسيل المخ".
Some debate did take place between the protestors and Scientologists [6]. بعض المناقشه لم تتم بين المحتجين وscientologists [6]. Anonymous has announced plans to protest again on Saturday May 10th and activism discussion boards can be found through britlulz.com . مجهول قد أعلنت عن خطط للاحتجاج مرة اخرى يوم السبت العاشر من ايار / مايو ومناقشة نشاط المجالس ويمكن الاطلاع من خلال britlulz.com.
